TACTICAL HEADSETS WITH DIGITAL HEARING PROTECTION

R.A.C.E.// // RADIO AUDIO CHANNEL ENHANCEMENT (R.A.C.E.)

MODIFICATIONR.A.C.E. is a special audio modification made to TCI™ dual commu-nications-based push-to-talk (PTT) assemblies, which solves the problem of audio from one radio coming out of only a single ear cup when just that single radio is receiving. Many operators utilizing dual communications may only use one radio system 85-90% of the time. Audio clarity and intelligibility is always better when received in both ears. With R.A.C.E. when one radio is receiving audio, the sound will be heard in both ear cups, regardless of which radio is receiving. When both radios receive at the same time, the system reverts back to the traditional dual communications audio environment with radio audio coming from the corresponding ear cup.

The Tactical Throat Microphone Kit III (TTMK III™) is a state of the art tactical headset incorporating an exceptional throat microphone, exceptional durability and superb audio response. TCI uses state of the art signal processing, as well as one of the best throat microphone transducers made. In addition, TTMK III™ systems includes a Sound-waves/FC R3™ Ear-Coil for crisp and clear receive audio. Users can select either our TACT-LITE™ Earmolds or the Sound-Attenuation Ear-Insert as their earpiece. The system also includes our popular and environmentally sealed TCI Tactical Push-to-Talk (PTT) and a radio interface engineered for the user’s radio. The CIPS™ (Covert in Plain Sight) Kit is designed to provide plainclothes officers a solution to remain covert when communicating via a tactical radio. The CIPS™ Kit allows officers to use a tactical radio while wearing earbuds commonly associated with smartphones or MP3 players. The tactical radio is connected to a mini PTT (push-to-talk) Sniper Ring, so the officer is able to key the radio and use the microphone in the smartphone headset without any indication to outsiders that a tactical radio is in use.
