Aluminium conductor steel reinforced (ACSR) is formed by aluminium wire (electric part) and steel wire

(reinforcement). lts structure consists of one or more hard drawn aluminium layers (EC grade) concentric stranded over

high tensile strength steel core. Steel core can be galvanized, coated aluminium single steel wire or stranded multi-wire.

Greased ACSR (ACSR/Grs) has been widely used in harsh environment such as salty air for anti-metallic

corruption.

ACSR, ACSR/Grs have been widely used in the field of overhead transmission lines because of its economic and

reliability.

When a higher strength is needed, Aluminum Alloy Conductor Steel Reinforced is sufficient (AACSR)

Aluminum conductor steel reinforced

conductors (ACSR), have been used widenly for

overhead transmittion line thank to their

advatages, but nowday, apart of ACSR is

replaced with superior conductors such as

thermal resistant aluminum alloy (TAL), supper

thermal resistant aluminum alloy (STAL) and

INVAR reinforced supper thermal resistant

aluminum alloy (STACIR). There are common

called: high current capacity conductors (HCC).

Economy is rapidly grown up, lead to demand

on electric power is increasing day by day,

causing many transmission lines and

distribution lines are overloaded. Replacing

existing transmission systems or install new

system requires a very high cost and sometimes

can not performe because of many difficulties

such as right-of-way, complicated work site. For

this situation, the most effective solution is

replacing conventional ACSR with high current

capacity conductors, such as: TACSR/AW,

STACIR.

LS VINA Cable’s OPGW series provide entirely new form of

telecommunication line that is made up of a ground wire for aerial

power lines which contain optical fibers encased in an aluminum

tube, stainless steel tube or Al-covered stainless steel tube. An

OPGW combines a ground wire for shielding overhead power

transmission line together with optical fibers for transmission of

communication signals. And the optical fiber is designed to resist

strong winds, lightning and short circuit current.

The OPGW has been designed to meet either the “Electrical”

or the “Mechanical” equivalent of conventional ground wire.
