Humans have been naturally gifted with numerous characteristics that enable us to develop and adapt to our ever changing en-vironments in order to survive and perpetu-ate our species. Our arms, legs and backs can perform physical labor. Our hands and � ngers can mold and manipulate objects. Our brains can reason, imagine and innovate. Our hu-man spirit can entertain, comfort and inspire.

The old cliché, “we live in a shrinking world”, is now referred to as the global econ-omy; as humans, we � nd ourselves in a global economy, our need for productivity reorga-nizes how we live, function and compete in it. It changes how we use our innate skills and talents endowed by nature in our workplace environments.

The enormous technological progression that has been actualized in all workplace sectors has in many ways a� ected our

bodies. Our advancement has not kept pace with this technological progression. Our bodies are still programmed to be dynamic and not stagnant. As a society, we are at risk, according to Susan Murphey BS, CECD, principal of Essential Ergonomics, if you � nd yourself at a computer or PACS workstation for more than 4 hours a day, you are at risk for developing work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs).

Murphey cautions that WRMSDs, such as those associated with Computer User’s Syn-drome, develop gradually and, therefore, are not immediately apparent. However, if ig-nored, they can lead to serious chronic illness, surgery and/or permanent disability. Since our bodies have not kept up with technology, humans have recognized the importance of adapting their work environments to � t their needs … hence the science of ergonomics.

We have been designing and crafting since 1994 and have come to understand the needs of our users so that their work environments adapt to them and not them to their work environments. nomic workstation, making adjustment of the cart’s � exible features virtually e� ortless. At the touch of a button, you can control the work surface’s tilt (with a 15° range of motion) and height, accommodating both sitting and standing positions.

Research has shown that as all workers spend more and more time viewing computer monitors, the incidence of work-related eye strain is increasing. The Deluxe Ergo Tier Cart™’s advanced monitor arm helps prevent this by adjusting across multiple parameters.

The Deluxe Ergo Tier Cart™ is equipped with a full range of accessories to ensure the ultimate in reading safety, comfort and convenience. A unique LED backlight provides ambient lighting, further reducing eye strain for people who spend long hours in front of the monitor. Ergo Tier Cart™ Our Ergo Tier Cart™ has independent, electronic

height adjustment of the work surface and monitor platform. The monitors may be retracted toward and away from the user, either manually or electronically.

Ergo Tier™ includes a full range of accessories to ensure the ultimate in comfort and convenience. Cable management keeps wires neat and unobtru-sive, while dimmer-controlled task lighting illuminates the workspace at the desired intensity, reducing eye strain and monitor glare. Adjustable phone and dictation arms keep the equipment within easy reach, while leaving work surfaces clutter-free.

Other useful features include CPU/UPS holders, a sturdy footrest to ease back strain, and even a metal cup holder positioned to avoid spills. Four-inch lock-ing casters facilitate easy movement.

lined movement, our PC Cart™ enables people to bring advanced computer technology to any location.

The PC Cart™ features a small 20 ½ " x 24" foot-print and large casters for easy movement. It is height-adjustable to enable computer use while the user is standing or seated. Our Command & Control Consoles have height-adjustable work surfaces. The moni-tors can also be electronically moved up and down independently of the work surface.
