The fi rst historical evidence of the use of cosmetics comes from ancient Egypt. Queen Cleopatra – an eternal symbol of sensuality and beauty – had the habit of taking milk baths and putting clay on her face to improve the texture of her skin. The use of cosmetics was also a part of great nations of Antiquity, like Greece and Rome.

In The Middle Ages, Catholic Church leaders censured the use of cosmetics. However, women’s natural desires for beauty spoke louder than faith. To achieve a pale complexion, women that went against the clergy’s wishes used anything from steel to chalk based creams, even to a powder-like toxin called Venetian Ceruse.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the cosmetic industry emerges. The segment grew at an accelerated pace, which can be explained by the status achieved by movie actresses, like Rita Hayworth and Audrey Hepburn (pictured above,) who became, at the time, the reference of beauty to be followed. Also in this century, forerunners like Max Factor and Helena Rubinstein saw in cosmetics a source of knowledge, giving birth to cosmetology: the study of cosmetics.

Buona Vita originated in 1987 as the main cosmetology name in Brazil. After 25 years as a company with products based on over 30 years of study, Buona Vita has contributed to the evolution of Brazil’s national cosmetic industry due to its innovative spirit and its founders’ constant search for knowledge.

In 1997, Buona Vita saw ahead of its time and launched a multifunction product – Buona Vita brought the trend of multifunction products from Europe. This same product was even more revolutionary, since it introduced the use of nanotechnology to the Brazilian market, nowadays a great tendency of the cosmetic industry.

In 2012, we reached our 25th anniversary. This quarter of a century proved that Buona Vita is an innovative company, with qualities and characteristics which make us stand out from all the others.

Description: Higisystem does not contain alcohol and was developed for asepsis and hydration. It is the first product that should be utilized before any procedure being that it is a strong anti-bacterial. It can be used to cleanse both face and body, in any situation where the skin needs to be cleaned, for example before waxing, extraction (facial cleansing), removing cuticles and preparing the skin for massages. Does not need rinsing.

How to use: Moisten cotton with Desincrustation, use galvanic roller on the negative charge, moving slowly back and forth over the area being treated, for five minutes. Description: Especially developed to facilitate the extraction of resistant white and blackheads and contribute to the recovery of skin post-extraction due to the properties of the tea tree oil.
