NEC Green Vision

With a corporate commitment to helping to create a sustainable society, we constantly introduce innovations and processes to make our products and the way we supply them as ‘green’ as possible.To this end, our latest projectors and displays include some ground-breaking new enhancements:

• One Touch Eco Mode. One touch Eco Mode button which allows the user to simply and quickly place the product in Eco Mode with lower impact on the planet and lower operational costs.

• Auto Eco Mode. Automatically adjusts the luminance of the projector’s lamp to match the content being presented, allowing optimum brightness and maximum energy efficiency at all times

• 75% AV Mute. Allows the user to intuitively mute the projector via the lens cover or by simply pushing the green button on the remote control. This reduces the lamp power by 75% which decreases the power consumption of the projector significantly and results in an increased lamp life.

• Eco Mode and Carbon Meter. Almost all of our products now include both of these enhancements meaning that reducing power requirements is easy and viewing a report of CO2 reductions achieved by ECO use is also simple.

• Schedulers and Ambient Light Sensors. Ensure a product is only on when is required. Either, the scheduler can be used to set on and off times, or in newer releases, schedule reduced brightness, or the ambient light sensor can automatically adjust brightness depending on ambient light conditions.

• Lower Wattage and Lower Standby Power Use. With Displays at 13W in EcoMode and Projectors at 0.7W standby, NEC lead the way.

White LED BacklightThe LED Backlight not only offers improved performance, but also draws less power and most importantly it replaces CCFL backlighting and is therefore free from Mercury and Halogen, significantly reducing any harm to the environment associated with this display.

Human SensorThe human sensor monitors the existence of a viewer in front of the display. When the user leaves for a preset period of time, the monitor switches into hibernation ready to restart on the viewer’s return.

Ambient Light SensorThe ambient light sensor monitors the ambient light and reduces or increases the display brightness according to changes in the ambient light surroundings. This means only the power used to make the picture clear is drawn at any time.
