Purpose Design

The set of gears for storing and transporting a helicopter is designed for:• storing and supplying of special items;• transporting a shipborne helicopter with mass up to 12.5 t from take-off and

landing area into hangar and backwards;• opening and closing the hangar doors.

As distinct from gears for transporting a helicopter being installed aboard ships of various projects built in 1970-90, the offered gear for transporting a helicopter is adapted to constantly changing external loads on a helicopter during its transportation (wind, ship list up to 12.5° and trim up to 4°, deck icing, inertial loads, etc.). This is ensured by automatic self-adjustment, introduction of a new principle involving maintenance of constant speed and tension not less than 3 t without any slackening a hauling rope (patent No. 2141435) at a helicopter transporting.

The new principle allows to stop helicopters for loading over a magazine with high degree of accuracy, that is up to 10-30 mm.

The device is also provided with “Manoeuvring” mode allowing to turn a helicopter to 180 ° and more, if manoeuvring on a ship deck is necessary.

Rudder-propeller complex дрк750 type

Purpose Design

Rudder-propeller unit ДРК750 type is designed for installation as propulsion device for marine and river vessels of various purposes.

The propulsion device combines both the propulsive and the steering functions. Propulsion is achieved by means of the propeller. Steering is achieved by rotating the pod over the entire circumference. This solution improves the ship’s maneuverability and propulsive performance.

The Scientific-Production Association “Vint” has developed technical documentation on the rudder-propeller complex of ДРК750 type with power rating 750 kW. JSC "Proletarsky Zavod" (Saint-Petersburg) has more than 40-year experience in mass production of various propulsion devices on the documentation developed by the Scientific-Production Association “Vint”.

JSC "Proletarsky Zavod" is planning to manufacture serially complexes ДРК750.The “Proletarsky Zavod” has already proved the production technology of upper

and lower reduction gearboxes with the mock-up outfitted with regular blocks and parts.

Depending on ship’s characteristics and operating area the complex ДРК750 shall be delivered with left or right rotation propellers, as well as with propellers with protecting covers or without them.

Purpose Design

The steering gears of ram type are installed on ships of various classes and purposes.

Our steering gears are easily interfaced with advanced control systems of home and foreign make.

Alarm and warning signal system ensures long-term maintenance-free continuous operation without local control.

The steering gear includes power drive; two main power units either of which provides the gear specification characteristics; remote electrical control system; control and signaling switchboards (sound, light and alarm); starting equipment; rudder indicator; system of filling and draining the steering gear.

The control system provides “Automatic”, “Follow-up” and “Non-follow-up” control modes.

Purpose Design

The steering gears are designed for operation and installation in single- and double rudders gears aboard ships of various purposes.

Electrohydraulic steering gears РМ160-2, РМ250-2 and РМ400-2 of standard size PM have similar design scheme:

• Four-cylinder, power drive of ram-link-motion type with manual or automatic actuation of four cylinders (main operation mode) or two cylinders (separate hydraulic systems) with other two cylinders with a damaged pipeline being disconnected;

• Three motor-driven pump units – two main units and one stand-by; main pump units can be installed on the power drive or separately; the stand-by unit is installed separately from the power drive;

• Auxiliary hydraulic equipment;• Start-protecting and signaling electric equipment connected to ship’s mains,

3-phase a.c., 50 Hz, 380 V;• Local control system with indication of the steering gear parameters. Local

control system is adapted to any digital system of upper level providing remote operation mode with such control types as “Automat”, “Follow-up”, “Non-follow-up”. Local operation mode includes such control types as “Follow-up” and “Non-follow-up”.

Electrohydraulic steering gears of РГПМ type are designed for installation on small crafts of various classes and purposes.

The power drive of these gears is a common part of two autonomous steering gears:• main steering gear with motor-driven pump unit and joystick-manipulator, start-protecting and signaling electric

equipment connected to ship mains, 3-phase a.c., 50 Hz, 380 V and d.c., 24 V;• auxiliary steering gear with pump unit, where operator’s force at the handwheel is transformed in hydraulic energy.“Non-following” control mode – from a wheel house or from joystick-manipulator or from handwheel without changing-

over in hydraulic system. Rudder angles control is provided by indicator system “transmitter-receiver” connected to ship’s mains, 1-phase a.c., 50 Hz, 127 V.

Purpose Design

The stabilizers are designed for roll reduction, when a ship is going ahead. The stabilizers make better mechanisms, devices and equipment operation conditions, increase efficiency of special devices as well as livability for a crew.

The stabilizers can be installed aboard ocean-going ships of various purposes.The stabilizers ensure the specified efficiency of roll reduction within the range of

ahead speeds from 5 to 32 knots.

The stabilizer operates automatically in a watch-free space, requiring only periodic inspection and lubrication of friction units.

The stabilizer is controlled remotely from an external post.The stabilizer is a complicated mechanism including:

• working parts with non-retractable or retractable fins;• electrohydraulic fin-tilting gears (mechanisms of power drives);• control system.

Purpose Design

Crane-manipulator is intended for installation on ocean-going ships, where it handles various cargoes in roll conditions, emergency boat “Dolphin - A”, other similar ships.

The crane features possibility of operation with floating objects at sea force up to 5.

The crane KM1 includes the following component parts: actuating mechanism, locking device for stowage, special grip, power supply unit, control device, control desk.

The crane control is remote, electrohydraulic from the control desk.Hydraulic working fluid is supplied from the ship’s hydraulic system.

Purpose Design

The crane-manipulator is designed for cargo-handling operations, which support everyday needs of a ship, working with general cargos up to 3 t in mass at maximum jib outreach. Cranes are installed aboard ocean-going ships.

Cargo-handling operations are performed under the following conditions:• prolonged list to either side up to 5°;• prolonged trim by the bow or by the stern up to 2°;• roll with amplitude not more than 2°30′;• periodic splashing with sea water.

The crane consists of a slewing and a stationary parts. The main slewing part is the crane housing being a welded metalwork. Inside the crane housing, there are the pump unit, elements of hydraulic and electric systems.

The crane controls – from the stationary control desk arranged at the platform on the crane housing side. The crane housing also accommodates the electric equipment control panel and signaling unit, which are mounted at the side of the control platform.

Cargo hoisting mechanism consists of the cargo winch with the planetary reduction gear built in the drum, cargo rope, sheave fitted at the jib end and the cargo suspension with the hook.

3.2 to 12 m.Cargo winch mounted on the jib support platform is equipped with a normally

closed disk brake holding the cargo to be hoisted in case of pressure drop in the crane hydraulic system.

Hydraulic system provides the following operation modes:• alternate operation of each crane mechanism (cargo winch, slewing mechanism,

hydraulic cylinder of luffing mechanism and alternate extension of telescoping sections) with preset speed;

• simultaneous operation of any two of above mechanisms with reduced speed.

Purpose Design

The crane is intended for mounting on ocean-going ships and serves for fulfilling cargo-handling operations in port for daily needs of ships, handling of general cargoes up to 2 t in mass, including hoses on tankers, not following Explosive Safety Rules.

The crane features stepless speed control of all functional movements. All crane equipment is unitized.

Cargo winch and slewing gear are operated by high-speed hydraulic motors via planetary reduction gears.

Normally closed disk brakes are hydraulically released. Boom luffing – from hydraulic cylinder.

Jib – of welded construction, enclosed box-girder section.Pump unit, hydraulic and electric equipment are assembled in closed crane housing. Open control post with watertight control board are mounted on the platform on the

right of the crane housing. Hydraulic system – working pressure up to 17.5 MPa.The crane is also equipped by cooling and heating systems of the working fluid.

Purpose Design

Luffing crane КЭГ 5016С equipped with stabilizing and automatic-tensioning winches is intended for handling explosive cargoes at sea force up to 3 numbers and prolonged list up to 5° to either side. The crane confirms requirements of “Rules for safe operation of cargo-handling gears for naval support vessels” (ПГУ СО В МФ-83).

Purpose Design

The filter unit serves for removal of suspended solid and organic particles from sea water supplied to the stationary ice-reinforced platform “Prirazlomnaya” users.

The filters unit is equipped with the automatic control system, which provides automatic operation, protection and signalling on each filter condition as well as emergency switching to a reserve filter, if malfunction occurs.

The filter unit consists of two independent lines, no.1 and no.2, mounted on the common frame and common for auxiliary equipment line. Line no.1 supplies the technological users with purified water, line no.2 serves for production purposes. Main construction material – titanium alloys.

Purpose

The water treatment station is designed for preparation of potable water of high quality aboard a ship. The water is obtained from distillate by way of its enrichment with hardening salts while filtering through natural material (dolomite and gypsum). Purpose Design

Germicidal apparatus are designed for contamination of fresh water in domestic water supply systems aboard naval and merchant ships. Apparatus can also find application in public utilities, food industry, clinics and children welfare institutions. Decontamination is based on germicidal ability of ultraviolet radiation, which provides prompt decontamination of water, no reagents are required, water taste and colour are not impaired, decontamination water quality satisfies the Sanitary Codes 2.1.4.1074-01.

Apparatus БАКТ-3С and БАКТ-10С consist of irradiation chamber made of corrosion-resistant steel and control board. Apparatus design is simple and safe in operation, no watch servicing is required, automatic control of germicidal lamp operation time and light signaling are provided. Apparatus БАКТ-2М and БАКТ-1М are also equipped with fine filter of mechanical cleaning the water to be treated.

Purpose Design

Gas turbine generators (GTG) of 1250 and 1500 kW are intended for application in marine conditions as self-contained (both as main ones and the ones during reserve shutdowns) power supply of three-phase alternating current, 50 Hz, 400V, with fine precision of frequency maintenance.

Characteristic features of the gas turbine generators are reliability, simple design, long service life and start from no external source of electric energy.

The gas turbine generator (GTG) is an automatized assembly consisting of a turbo-compressor, a planetary reduction gear and electric generator, type МСК, mounted on a single frame.

The turbo-compressor - operates in an open cycle, single shaft, axial-flow, has an overhanging reverse-flow combustion chamber and an axial-flow turbine. GTG generator and oil system are water-cooled (by sea or fresh water). Cooling water consumption is from 20 to 30 t/hr at a temperature not more than 32 °С.

GTG control system provides automatic and remote control at a single or parallel operation on electric main at full load range from idle run to 110% of rated power.
