CATALYST AT THE LAWNS SHOW 2015 Jeff and Marc have just arrived back from the caravan trade’s annual gathering at the “Lawns show” in Hull. The uncharacteriscally grey and chilly weather kept the wasps at bay, However interest in Planum was disnctly brisk! We met with many exisng and potenal customers. Marc even signed up a deal at the event. We also forged ghter links within both the caravan and computer industries including some excing plans for data sharing and integraon which will help everyone. We can’t say too much unl the T’s are crossed and the I’s doed but the will to move forward clearly exists and ulmately will make the life of the individual caravan dealer considerably easier. Thanks to HERCMA for excellent organisaon as always, we’ll be back in 2016. NEW FEATURES We connually update and enhance Catalyst Planum. Some updates are so subtle you wouldn’t noce however others are so much more obvious. The “Invoicing and Customer Orders” screen has been given a new look and feel. Changes to the use of “Default Invoice Accounts” have been made, Users can now sell through the default invoice account from more than one terminal at the same me. (Please note you can no longer save items against these default accounts.) Did you know? Tabs can be rearranged by dragging the heading for the tab to the new posion. The columns in lists can be rearranged or resized by dragging the heading for the column to your own preference. Windows may be reposioned and changed in size. In each of these cases above, your preferences are remembered each me you log in. Use the F11 key to access online help. Use the F12 key to access the ‘funcons’ menu Always check the login screen which lists the latest updates and features. If I’ve learned anything in the 30 years plus I’ve been in this business it’s that soſtware uptake is slower than I ever expect. “Planum Online” falls into this category. Essenally your Planum system projected to your smartphone anywhere you can get a mobile internet connecon and that’s most places these days. What can it do for you? Well that depends on your business, Planum Online automacally reflects your business style from the Planum modules installed. Image capture for vehicles, workshop jobs and deliveries, stock take and of course reporng are key areas. Want to know how business is going when you are not there? Planum Online provides the answers. So if it’s free why is the take up not quicker? I guess that’s just down to how we humans seem to be. We naturally fall into regular paerns of work and once happy that things work prey well we rarely look for new ideas even if they are for free because that looking and learning takes me and energy from our busy days. Bosses in search of answers or even salespeople away from the desk maybe chang to a prospecve buyer. NEW FEATURES We continually update and enhance Catalyst Platinum.

for Platinum continues to surge!

With continued strong uptake of Catalyst Platinum DMS across the Motorcycle,

Caravan/Motorhome, Logistics, Agricultural and Retail Sales sectors, we have expanded

our team to stay ahead of demand.

Support manager Nigel Smith (left) welcomes Katy Kitchen (returning) and Steve Hall.

SALES TEAM EXPANDS New starters, Chelsey Barker and Ellie Ses-sions have joined the sales team. Chelsey

will be working closely with Alex in Internal Sales, whilst Ellie will focus on marketing and

is already busy planning a number of key activities.

Maintaining your hardware is a key process which you should keep on top of to ensure you are getting the best performance from your system. Catalyst offer health checks for computer systems to ensure they are working to the highest standard. We offer advice on the steps which can be taken to improve the performance, reliability and security. All health checks are carried out by senior experienced staff from Catalyst.

With hardware maintenance contract in place - £295+VAT.Without hardware maintenance contract in place - £375+VAT.

What does a health check involve?• We will survey all of your

hardware, from servers to PC’s including your anti-virus software.

• We ensure all PC’s are configured correctly and system performance is as expected.

• Where possible we disassemble PC’s, examine internally, and remove any excess dust which has accumulated.

• When the health check is complete, a report will be given to you; this will reflect the state of all equipment. We would then recommended any changes or upgrades to improve your system.
