This menu guide has been prepared to help you plan for your special events here on campus. From a simple morning break to a VIP luncheon, an elegant hors d’oeuvres reception to a gluten-free request, these pages are filled with fresh, contemporary menu ideas. These menus represent only the starting point. Our Catering Manager or Catering Department will be more than happy to prepare a custom menu for your special event. Our desire is to serve you a truly memorable meal made of fresh, high-quality foods and prepared from scratch with authentic ingredients. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you!

CATERING GUIDELINES •••

GETTING STARTED

ROOM RESERVATIONS Place your room reservation for your catered event in Astra by visiting: https://reservearoom.cedarcrest.edu/AstraSchedule/Portal/GuestPortal.aspx. When filling out the request form, please indicate your room set-up and audio/visual set-up in the appropriate fields.

CATERING DEPARTMENT The Catering Office is open to accept orders Monday through Friday 8:00a–4:30p, excluding holidays. When arranging for catering services, we ask that you plan as far in advance as possible. Please contact the Catering Department at least two (2) weeks prior to your event. Final counts will be due one (1) week prior to your event. When placing an order 48 hours or less before your event, please call the Catering Department directly.

The Catering Guide, Seasonal Guide, Bagged Lunch Order Form, and the Online Order Form can be found on MyCedarCrest. All orders should be placed with the Online Order Form. Please call for assistance.

INFORMATION FACT SHEET In order to better serve you and your event guests, please supply the following information:

• What is the purpose of your event?

• When is your event?

• Where will your event be held?

• What is the size (number of attendees) of this event?

• What is your budget for this event? (Is this per meal or total event?)

• What age group will be attending? Ex: adults (from our campus or off campus), students (from our campus or off campus)

• Will there be VIPs or business people attending?

• What meal style do you envision (hot, cold, upscale, etc.)?

• What will be your requirements as far as linens (rounds tables?), china versus disposables, etc.?

• Will President Meade be in attendance at any of your events?

• Do you know of any dietary restrictions?

• Does this group lend itself to a particular style of food items?

• Please supply any other information that will help us to ensure the success of your event.

LINENS Cedar Crest College can supply rental linens for your event. Based on usage at your event, the College will invoice your group. Any additional rental needs may be secured through the Catering Department.

BAR SERVICE • TIPS certified bartender required, and supplied by Dining Services

• Forms required by college

• Client to supply all alcohol

• Alcohol to be delivered to dining services 2 days before event with a written list of inventory to be signed by Dining Services

• All alcohol must be taken by client at end of event

STUDENT-ONLY SERVICE Flat fee of 120.00 per 3-hour pour (4-hour minimum)

• Wine and beer pour only

• Plastic drinkware included

• ½ hour set-up and ½ hour breakdown included

WINE AND BEER SERVICE 2.50 per guest, per 3-hour pour (4-hour minimum)

• Additional hour 1.00 per guest

• Glassware included

• ½ hour set-up and ½ hour breakdown included

FULL BAR SERVICE Contact Dining Services to discuss bar set-up 2 weeks before event. 30.00 per hour, per bartender (25 guests per bartender)

• 4-hour minimum includes ½ hour set-up and ½ hour breakdown (3-hour pour)

• Glassware included

• 2.75 per guest for a full bar set-up, including mixers and garnishes

• Alcohol list must be given to Dining Services one (1) week before event
