LOOKING FORWARD, WE KNOW MORE OF OUR CLIENTS ARE LOOKING FOR A SINGLE PROPERTY ADVISER WHO CAN OFFER THEM ALL THE SERVICES THEY NEED.

Ian Entwisle, CEO GCS EMEA

Welcome to GCS Connect our new Global Corporate Services (GCS) EMEA magazine. It’s a chance to share successes, news and to learn more about each other across our 5,000 strong team. I hope it helps give everyone a sense of the strength and scale of our combined business.

Our first year together has been marked by huge progress. We have brought together two exceptional teams, achieved new client wins and created an unmatched integrated service capability. As a result, GCS has made an important contribution to our wider CBRE EMEA business, which continues to grow with momentum.

Looking forward, we know more of our clients are looking for a single property adviser who can offer them all the services they need. This gives us a distinct advantage and puts us in a unique and enviable market position.

To succeed, however, we need to do more than simply offer a broader range of services. Our world class ambitions depend on our ability to grow together as one team, to drive operational excellence into every part of our business, become more innovative and agile and, most importantly, to provide our clients with more value and better quality services than they can find anywhere else.

This will allow us to achieve our mission: To build a World Class business through Exceptional Service and Exceptional People. We are delivering

integrated property services across 42 countries for Bank of America Merrill Lynch our largest global client.

CLIENTS FIRST• Operate as a client-centric business • Generate exceptional results by

understanding and meeting our clients’ needs

• Deliver more value by working together to provide integrated services

• Build long term relationships by ensuring our clients feel a difference when they work with us.

BEST TALENT• Attract and retain the very best people

from within our industry and beyond• Help every individual achieve their full

potential by providing excellent training and development opportunities

• Reward the right behaviours• Create a great place to work.

Below outlines the strategic objectives we have agreed in order to deliver our mission. These priorities will help us grow GCS EMEA into the business that customers proactively choose to partner with, where the industry’s top talent chooses to work and where existing staff are able to grow their careers. It is up to all of us to examine these priorities and think about how we can each focus on driving them forward, to create a World Class business.

I will keep you updated on our progress towards achieving our mission and the initiatives that will be launched in 2015 to support this. Thank you for your commitment in 2014.

We have a great team, a strong business pipeline and a tremendous growth opportunity ahead.

Our GCS EMEA vision is to become a World Class business and double the size of our revenue from $1billion to $2billion within four years?

10 | ENERGY & SUSTAINABILITY

WE’RE THINKING SUSTAINABILITY. ARE YOU?Energy and sustainability continues to be a key priority for our clients. We caught up with Sam Pickering, Head of Energy and Sustainability GCS EMEA, to find out more about the newly combined energy solutions team across EMEA.

What does the combined energy service offering look like?We have now brought together our client services; strategic sustainability advice, energy procurement solutions, and compliance and risk management with the Technical Self Delivery team’s energy management service. The move gives us a unique edge in the EMEA market, and will undoubtedly deliver growth opportunities to support our GCS EMEA $2bn target.

What does this mean for new and existing clients? As pressure on occupiers increases, many are seeking new ways to achieve cost reduction through energy efficiency and optimisation of existing assets. By enhancing our capability through the Technical Self Delivery team, we are able to leverage spend; reducing costs for clients and improving delivery.

Our existing customers will see the same benefits as we continue to work with market leading landlord clients such as M&G, Cordea Savills and CBRE Global Investors, as well as high profile corporate clients such as Credit Suisse, Oracle, British Airways and Morgan Stanley.

Why is energy continuing to be a priority to many of our clients?Clients are seeking to mitigate risks associated with changing legislation, such as the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) in Europe and increasing costs around the supply of energy. We are able to help protect against price volatility and legislation, maximising benefits around compliance, reducing costs, and enhancing brand reputation.
