2. Initial site visitIf this is required, it will be for a viability sense check.
1. Data gatheringDesktop analysis, half hourly energy data modelling, identifying potential opportunities.
4. Top level proposalBuild and oer a high level proposal outlining the site/customer specific developed project with the expected revenues.
6. G83/G59 applicationThe system requires approval from DNO to enable grid connection, to do so a formal application process is followed beginning with an ENA application form detailing the system specifications.
8. Detailed electricaldesign proposalSingle line diagram entailing connections of system electrical components, calculations required to ensure correct cable and electrical protection sizes.
7. Site surveySite restrictions, obstructions and general terrain issues are identified. Physical site measurements are taken for use in detailed design stage, electrical point of connection is verified.
8. Detailed mechanical& structuraldesign proposalSite Layout detailing plan view of equipment i.e. transformer substation, battery, inverter, etc. showing connection points, cable routes and trenches if required.
5. Planning applicationAn assessment to determine the suitability of the potential site for the battery storage system. In general, the systems footprint, height, noise emission and proximity to nearby residential areas are taken into consideration.
3. Options assessmentAnalyse energy consumption, perform walkthrough site survey (if required) and develop the best fit DE project around the site requirements and limitations.

10. Design modificationsTo reflect new measurements taken from the additional site survey. Final construction drawings are issued.
12. Electrical installationLV and HV cables laid, connected and buried if required, all relevant protection installed, interposing transformer oen necessary to match AC inverter output to relevant connection voltage.
11. Civil worksClearing of site, erecting safety fences, set up access and welfare facilities. Foundations are prepared, cable trenches dug out (if required) and permanent site security measures are installed.
9. Additional site surveyUndertaken when access restrictions occur during the initial survey. Further measurements are taken and available capacity at point of connection is confirmed.
14. Electrical inspections& EESS commissioning testsCommissioning process includes, testing system to BS7671 requirements, inspection and tests to comply with DNO G83/G59 Engineering recommendations, commissioning tests to conform with manufacturers requirements.
13. Site acceptance testsPerformance tests to measure energy capacity, power, round trip eciency and basic equipment function tests involving start stop tests and operating cycle tests.
