Lane Memorial Library
!!!!Grand Finale
We will have an outdoor
party on Wednesday,
August 8, 5 pm-7 pm in
the field behind Centre
School.
The party will include live
music, games (with
prizes donated by local
vendors), food and our
big raffle drawing. This year we are raffling off
three e-readers (Kindles
or Nooks)!
At the party your child
will receive a certificate
of participation and
have the opportunity to
choose a book to cele-
brate their participation
in the Summer Reading
Program. (If you are un-
able to attend the finale
the books and certifi-
cates will be available in
the Children’s Room
from Aug. 9—Sept. 1.)

M 8888onday, June 1 launches our
““““Dream Big———— ! ”! ”! ”! ”Read Summer Reading
Program.
How the Reading Pro-
gram Works: Children
keep a log of the hours
they read (logs are
available on our web-
site and in the Chil-
dren’s Room beginning
June 18). For every hour
logged, the child gets a
raffle ticket for our sum-
mer finale drawing. For
every 2 hours logged,
they will receive a pa-
per star or moon to add
to our summer wall
display. When a child
has read 3 hours, they
can claim a mini prize
from our treasure box.
All logs and raffle tickets
will need to be com-
pleted and turned in by 12 pm, Wednesday, Au-
gust 8 to be eligible for
the drawing.
Signups for the Summer
Shows will open two
weeks before each
event. There is a legal
limit on the number of
people allowed in the
venues at one time, so
those on the list will be
admitted before those
who drop in.
