Treatment Issues addressed through the CDC Family Healing Center:Most of the families involved in Butler County Children Services (BCCS) have experienced traumatic events and exhibit an array of treatment issues, such as:

CDC Family Healing Center:Is a trauma treatment center utilizing evidenced based treatment models to enhance children and families to achieve overall health and wellbeing, and build resiliency to alleviate barriers to reunification.

Family Healing Center (FHC) is certified in Trauma Informed and Responsive Care. This allows all FHC staff to better address the relationship between the neurobiological effects of trauma and its impact on children, families, and the community. In addition, FHC staff is trained in hands on interventions to assist in healing the damage done from trauma.

• Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

• Structured Sensory Interventions for Traumatized Children, Adolescents, and Parents (SITCAP)

CDC (formerly Children’s Diagnostic Center) specializes in comprehensive behavioral health assessment and treatment of children, families, and adults.Established in 1975, and affiliated with Central Clinic Behavioral health since 2004, CDC provides individual, family, and marriage counseling, case management and medication management services.

In November 2009, CDC initiated a new program in conjunction with Butler County Children Services (BCCS) to implement intensive therapeutic visitation services to children and families referred for supervised visitation at the BCCS Family Connection Center, now called the Family Healing Center.
