Trough Technology
Tube contains a chemical that is more consistent with holding heat rather than water (Thermanol, i.e.)
Troughs aligned north and south to allow an east to west tracking of the suns rays.
Tower Technology

Mirrors in reflective position and in safe stowed position
Relative size of mirrors is 12’ With approximately 6’ of post in ground.

HOW THE PROJECT WORKS
THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH:
Do not produce energy on demand Potential disruption of desert environment Potential disruption to wildlife Water usage Storage of energy
Role of BLM Review the submitted application for compliance with energy development guideline and evaluation of risks. Evaluate the proposed project on its Plan of Development, coordinate the development of an Environmental Impact Statement including alternatives. Present the documents to the public for comment, evaluate the comments and respond. Selected an alternative with review and approval from local, state, and national office representatives.
