The CE-X remote air-cooled condensers can be matched to ME-X and CASR-X Clivet units for indoor installation, to UCP-DX Data Center units and they can also be connected to other motor-evaporating units. They are available in two acoustic configurations, Standard (ST) and Low Noise (LN), to fulfil also the most severe project requirements respecting the sound levels required. They use axial fans extremely silent and with high heat exchange efficiencies, housed inside aerodynamic conveyors. Thanks to optional devices for the fan speed control, phase cutting or ECOBREEZE type, is possible to increase the energy savings of the entire system, to optimize the combined unit operation and to further increase the silence. All units respect the high quality standards that Clivet guarantees with severe tests during the entire production cycle.

ULTRA-SILENCE OPERATION The units are available with different functions and accessories, to perfectly integrate them into different types of projects. In particular, the low noise acoustic configuration, using a different fan speed regulation, enables to:
• reduce the external sound emission up to 14 dB; • lower the power absorbed by the fans.
GREAT VERSATILITY IN POSITIONING
The unit offers the maximum versatility for the positioning. In fact it is suitable for vertical installation (horizontal air flow) and can also be installed horizontally (vertical air flow) thanks to the mounting and support optional kit.
BUSINESS ORIENTED The remote condenser is sturdiness and resistant to atmospheric agents. Easy to be matched to the internal units based on different parameters like:
• compactness, where the initial investment cost is preferred also if the operation range is limited;
• low noise level, with special accessories and acoustic configurations
able to control the sound emissions; • efficiency, with more heat exchange surfaces and special accessories
able to modulate the fans speed to optimize the operation of the internal unit.

The external axial fans are equipped with the innovative Winglet airfoil-vane with integrated baffle, able to increase the aerodynamic efficiency. It results in a consumption reduction of the 10% and a medium sound emission lower of 6 dB than the traditional fans.
USE ALSO IN EXTREMELY COLD CLIMATES
For some applications, like Data Center, it is requested the cooling operation of the internal unit also with low outdoor temperatures. The remote condenser also meets this request thanks to the combination of the fan speed regulator, phase cut type or the very efficient ECOBREEZE, and of the “Winter kit” that includes the heated expansion tank to bypass the direct expansion exchanger and keep the refrigerant pressure under control.

HIGH EFFICIENT REFRIGERANT R410A is the mix of two refrigerants used in equal parts: R32 that supplies the thermal capacity and R125 that controls the flammability. It is a chlorine free refrigerant (HFC) with numerous advantages:
• ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) = 0
• High volumetric effect thanks to the high coefficient global thermal exchange and to the pressure variation (glide) which is almost nil during the evaporation phase;
• Elevated density and efficiency, with greater compactness of the refrigerant circuit and therefore the responsible use of materials and small refrigerant quantity, for a reduced environmental impact.

EC TECHNOLOGY
THE VALUE OF CONDENSATION CONTROL The refrigerant condensation control:
• this function is mandatory when the internal unit is equipped with more compressors for each circuit. The condensation pressure is therefore kept under control also during operation at partial load;
• It extends the operating field of the internal unit also with low external temperatures;
• it can produce further advantages like the reduction of fan electrical consumptions and improve silence in partial load conditions.
VARIABLE SPEED FANS TO OPTIMIZE THE CONDENSATION
The standard unit is equipped with a free contact for the on/off management of the fans. When the internal unit is Clivet the free contact can be taken directly from it. It is also possible to choose two different fan speed controls:
• Phase cut with automatic management of fan speed by measuring the condensation pressure. Fans are started at the max speed for 5 seconds to grant the correct speed also in presence of predominant winds, or leaves or snow on the blades;
• ECOBREEZE that must be controlled through an external 0-10V signal that in the Clivet standard unit it directly supply by internal unit.
ECOBREEZE ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED FAN TECHNOLOGY With electronically controlled ECOBREEZE fans, which do not require inverter, you have: • reduction over 50% of the nominal absorbed power by the unit during
full load operation;
• reduction of the sound pressure up to 8 dB (A) when compared to the full load operation with clear benefit mainly during the night when the load is reduced but noise sensitivity is higher;
• annual reduction of total electric consumption thanks to the part load operation representing 90% of the operation time of a comfort unit.
SUITABLE ALSO FOR AGGRESSIVE ENVIRONMENTS
In the marine environments or with air contaminated by aggressive chemical agents (except sulphurous environments) are available heat exchangers with epoxy coating or copper/copper, keeping unchanged in time the life and the heat transfer capacity.

STANDARD UNIT SPECIFICATIONS
STRUCTURE Structure made of galvanized and pre-painted steel, with RAL 9001 painted nozzle to better resist to corrosion. The fan nozzle is shaped to avoid the air recirculation and to reduce noise EXTERNAL EXCHANGER finned exchanger, made from copper pipes arranged in staggered rows and mechanically expanded for better adherence to the collar of the fins. The fins are made from aluminium with a special corrugated surface, set a suitable distance apart to ensure maximum heat exchange efficiency. FAN Axial fans diam. 800mm with aluminium die-cast blades, directly coupled to a IP54 three-phase electric motor with external rotor, with thermal protection. Placed into aerodynamic shaped nozzles, to increase efficiency and minimize the noise level, are equipped of protection grilles to avoid accidents. ELECTRICAL PANEL The electrical panel is located inside the unit and is easily accessible thanks to removable panels. The capacity section includes: - terminal block for the fan connection - main line isolator switch - contactor for the fan power The control section includes: - Terminal block to connect the internal unit, with free contacts for
unit ON/OFF (from internal to external unit) and for cumulative alarm (from external to internal unit). The accessory CREFB includes an analogical input 0-10 V for the fan speed management.

The standard unit is equipped with a free contact for on-off fan management. The on-off signal must be supplied externally. The data are referred to the air temperature through the fan. ACCESSORIES
CCCA - COPPER / ALUMINIUM CONDENSING COIL WITH ACRYLIC COVERING
The package heat exchanger finned coils in copper /aluminium with acrylic covering can be used in places with concentrations in the air of saline and moderately aggressive agents.
Attention! - Cooling capacity variation -2.7%
CCCC - COPPER / COPPER CONDENSING COIL
A treatment which offers an optimal thermal exchange and guarantees and protects the finned coil exchangers from corrosion over time. Can be used in settings with very aggressive saline concentrations and other chemical agents in the air thus maintaining the performance of the coils over time.

CREFP - FAN CONSUMPTION REDUCTION DEVICE OF EXTERNAL SECTION AT VARIABLE SPEED (PHASE CUTTING)
Option used with low outdoor air temperature, enabling the condensation pressure control through the automatic reduction of the fan speed. When the external air temperature is low, a minimum airflow is sufficient to keep the condensation pressure low. Therefore with low outdoor air temperature the fan speed is reduced with consequent reduction of energy consumption. It includes the phase cut type fan speed regulation device, a pressure probe and a pressure transducer on the cooling circuit.

CREFB - ECOBREEZE EXTERNAL SECTION FANS CONSUMPTION REDUCTION DEVICE
This option is used with low outdoor air temperatures, suggested to clearly reduce the electric power consumption of the fans and to limit the sound emissions in the external section of the unit, using high efficiency fans. The ECOBREEZE logic enables to automatically operate the external axial fans with a variable rotation speed according to the condensation pressure. With low outdoor air temperature a minimum air flow is sufficient to keep the condensation pressure low. Therefore with low outdoor air temperature the fan speed is reduced with consequent reduction of electric consumption and of sound emissions. ECOBREEZE option includes axial external fan with electronic control motor (IP54) driven by continuous magnetic commuting of the stator. Being brushless and having a particular power supply increase both efficiency and life time. ECOBREEZE is especially suggested on units working 365 days per year, like on Close Control units.

LRX - LIQUID RECEIVER KIT
The liquid receiver has the function to constantly grant an adequate quantity of refrigerant to the evaporator, and it enables to compensate possible volume variations due the outdoor temperature. Ideal for applications where the difference in height between the internal unit and remote condenser is above 15m. The kit includes corrosion proof painted steel tank, installation supports, safety valve, Rotalock connections. The device is arranged for the installation beside the unit or, in case of vertical airflow installation, under the unit. (installation made by the Customer).

WKX - WINTER KIT
This accessory must be matched to ‘CREFP option – device to reduce the fan consumptions of the external section at variable speed (phase cut)’ or as alternative ‘CREFB . Device to reduce fan consumptions of the external section ECOBREEZE type’.

The winter kit is the device that is used to keep an adequate refrigerant pressure (2.030 kPa), when the outdoor air temperature is very low.
