What to do when you’re bored

BY MILIND • Read or reread a book. For example, why

not read the top books for your level at the closest library, or maybe something easy. You could ask the local library or ask your parents. Maybe you’d like to read the books that your parents enjoyed.

• Play or do one of your favorite hobbies, like ask to play your favorite sport with a friend.

• Play with a sibling or friend, and maybe they will have something to play or an idea.

• Create your own game, language or toy.

• Have a chat with someone today.

• How about sleeping?

• Buy a notebook and write in it every day.

• Use a blanket and four chairs, and then put the blanket on top, forming a tent.

• Make something from your imagination.

REVIEWS AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON BY ASHLEY Age Of Ultron would be one of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my life. It expresses emotions so well. Also, it has funny parts, sad parts, and it lets your pours emotions out. There are new characters and it makes you feel like you are in the movie. The plot may be confusing but it shows and talks about what the team is aiming for. It is heartbreaking and might make you cry. But I do not want to say this but in the end it might make you disappointed. No spoiler alerts but I recommend this movie!

Number The Stars BY LOIS LOWRY REVIEWED BY ELLA Number the stars is a very moving book about a 10 year old girl named Anne-Marie who is Danish. She lives in the time during World War II. Soldiers are in her town and she doesn’t like it. She hopes everything will be all right. She also hopes that her Jewish friend, Ellen will be alright. It is a very sad book, so if you like tragedies, this is a book for you! It is a very amazing story and very touching.

Into The Woods BY YERIN The movie, “Into the Woods” is a great movie. Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Little Red Riding Hood- it is all of these fairy tales put together. It all starts when the baker and his wife want a kid so much. However, they can't because a witch who is actually Rapunzel’s stepmother curses them. To break this curse, the baker and the wife have to find a bright red cape from Red Riding Hood, a cow as white as milk from Jack, hair as yellow as a corn from Rapunzel. Lastly, they have to get a slipper as pure as gold from Cinderella. They have to do this in less than three days. However, the witch cannot have touched these items. To do that, the baker and the wife have to go on a tough journey. Will they get all these items in time and break the curse?

Nicki Minaj, Disapproved! BY SOO I think she could be a little weird, I mean, her videos are weird and maybe a little inappropriate. Don’t know why people like Nicki Minaj, for example the song “Anaconda”, it’s weird and kind of inappropriate. I don’t like her and that’s for sure!

A FUNNY STORY BY AEDAN JR. JUNIOR JOURNALIST One hot day, Aedan decided to go to the pool. “It’s a nice day, I am going swimming. AAAAAH, there’s a shark in the pool!! I think I need to call The Sharkanator!!!!” The shark in the pool, named Zacko, doesn’t notice the person. He is busy doing his homework from Shark School. “This is so hard! Shark math ‘how many gills does a fish have times the number of sharks in North America?’” The shark thought, “I need to go to the bathroom!!” And then farted bubbles. As Aedan tried calling the Sharkanator, he thought he wanted to be friends with Zacko, the shark. So he changed into his swimsuit and got into the water. When Zacko farted, Aedan said “Oo! A Jacuzzi. It is a stinky one, by the way. I think I should sit down on the Jacuzzi bench.” Aedan felt something comfortable on his bench. Aedan thought it was a bench, but it was Zacko. Zacko felt something soft on his back. “Ooo, a stuffed teddy bear.” So he took it and squeezed it really hard with his fins. The stuffed teddy bear made a sound, “AAAHHHaaaaa bblgg!” but Zacko would not let go. When The Sharkanator came, he thought it was a party and started dancing Oppa Gangnam Style. All of a sudden, Zacko and Aedan jumped out of the pool and started dancing with The Sharkanator. And they lived happily ever after. THE END

MONSTER HUNTING: DOS & DON’TS BY SEOEUN

Monster hunting certainly is one of summer’s highlights! Here’s a guide to make sure you don’t get eaten! DO: • Bring a Flashlight. And extra

batteries. Remember what happened during that movie?

• Bring a picture of your sworn

enemy. You never know when you need to summon a demon from the underworld.

• Bring a grappling hook. Why?

‘cause they’re awesome. • Practice climbing trees. Most

monsters can’t climb. • Start with an easy monster. DON’T: • Play dead. Monsters aren’t

that stupid. Except ones that have wings. Like a fairy or something.

• Sleep with them. Seriously. • Play music. It will aggravate

them.
