ENTERING - it couldn’t be easier!
Eligibility of Submissions Any member since January 1, 2016 and in good standing with Waterloo Region Home Builders’ Association Previous “winning” entries ARE NOT eligible to re-enter in the same category Previous entries deemed a “finalist” ARE eligible to re-enter the same category Acceptance of submissions received is at the discretion of WRHBA
Entry Procedures and Checklist Accuracy of submitted materials is the responsibility of the applicant. NOTE: Information given on the entry form will be used
exactly as submitted in the awards ceremony through production, presentation, award recognition pieces and in the media. Take extra care to ensure all spelling is correct before submitting each entry. Do not use UPPERCASE. WRHBA will not make any revisions to an entry once it has been submitted
A separate entry form must accompany each entry - Photocopy additional entry forms as needed All supporting documents listed on the checklist are required Digital and electronic files may be submitted on one CD/USB but each entry must be saved in separate file folders (e.g. If you
have two entries for category 20 and one for category 26, you must have three folders, one for category 20 entry A, one for category 20 entry B and a third for category 26). The CD/USB must be clearly labeled with the Company Name

Entry Fee Entry fees are determined by the category entered; see individual entry forms and Entry Payment Form (Page 7) Fees are to be submitted in full by way of (one) cheque payable to the Waterloo Region Home Builders’ Association Include completed Entry Payment Form (Page 7) with payment
Judging Format Judging of all entries based on submission package received will take place at WRHBA’s office, wherein judges will narrow entries down to 1 winner and 2 finalists in each category.
Submission Deadline All entries including payment and supporting documentation must be received by 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 The committee reserves the right to extend the deadline for a specific category and solicit additional entries in the event that
there are less than 3 entries in a given category
Promotion of SAM Awards of Distinction WRHBA Member companies and their affiliates must indicate the Year and the Award Category Title in which they won or were a finalist when advertising/promoting/etc. that they were a winner or a finalist. There are to be NO changes made to the NAME of the Award category. Correct: WRHBA 2016 GRAND SAM Builder of the Year – Single Detached Home Incorrect: WRHBA SAM Awards Builder of the Year* *Incorrect as the year in which the award was won is not identified, nor was the “full” name of the award category used.

Final Notes WRHBA reserves the right to disqualify incomplete submissions without notice or refund Acceptance of submissions received is at the discretion of WRHBA WRHBA reserves the right to realign categories due to volume of entries. If this process should take place, entrants will be
notified If there are fewer than three entries in any category, WRHBA reserves the right to eliminate that category from the
competition. Refunds will be given to those who have entered a cancelled category A member or member’s representative must sign-off on the entry form for eligibility WRHBA reserves all publishing rights to materials submitted All entrants agree to be bound by these rules
Return of Entry Material All materials submitted become the sole property of WRHBA. WRHBA reserves the right to use any or all of these materials for promotion of the WRHBA SAM Awards of Distinction. Due to the volume of entries expected, WRHBA is unable to return any of the submitted material.
