NATIONAL SPONSOR:
Celebrating ExcellenceINROADS MISSION IS TO DEVELOP AND PLACE TALENTED UNDERSERVED YOUTH IN BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY, AND PREPARE THEM FOR CORPORATE AND COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP.
Despite many initiatives to support diversity, individuals
from underserved groups still lag behind in education and
career and leadership opportunities in Corporate America.
Today, people of color make up only 12.1% and women
only 20.9% of Fortune 100 executive teams.
Why does this matter? Until these statistics improve, women
and people of color will not experience full economic vitality
for themselves or for their communities.
And ultimately, many of our young people today will be
left behind.
INROADS is working to change this picture for the better.
Through research-guided programs, INROADS supports
the country’s underserved, talented students, providing
access to high-quality leadership development, as well as
college and career-readiness preparation. Students learn
from hands-on career exploration and immersion,
personal coaching, mentorship, and community service.
From its founding in 1970 in business executive
Frank C. Carr’s home city of Chicago, INROADS has
grown into a nationally recognized 501 (c) (3) nonprofit,
impacting the lives of over 154,000 youth.

ninth through twelfth graders.
College Leadership Development and Internship Program · Secures
paid corporate internships for
1,500 students each year.
Learning Summit · Is a three-

handle values and ethics issues.
Frank C. Carr National Day of Service · Brings together thousands
of INROADS interns and alumni
from across the country each year
to participate in student-led service
