14th Edition 2018 CELTIC MARKETING NEWSLETTER Our People Make the Difference! Shipper Shows can Produce Significant Incremental Sales ...If you attend. By: Ray Wolfson This Spring I have attended approximately FIVE shipper shows. They are time consuming, expensive, fun and profitable. The shows are crowded with displays and the store managers often come by in groups. However, it is one of the few times you have to meet this crucial group of customers. You have the opportunity to: Learn about your product at retail Set up promotions at store level New product placement Second facing with off shelf placement End Cap placement Set up demos and other programs In the shows I have attended the brokers have had between 50 and 100 displays. By being there you can concentrate on your display and the programs that will produce sales. The shows typically start between 7:00AM and 9:00AM. They are over between 1PM and 4PM. A long constructive day. Since many chains have shows for specific seasons make sure you participate in the show that will be timely for your products. So attending these shows is very important in my opinion. Have a good time and your broker will appreciate your efforts!

This Spring I have attended approximately FIVE shipper shows. They are time consuming, expensive, fun and profitable. The shows are crowded with displays and the store managers often come by in groups. However, it is one of the few times you have to meet this crucial group of customers. You have the opportunity to: • Learn about your product at retail • Set up promotions at store level • New product placement • Second facing with off shelf placement • End Cap placement • Set up demos and other programs

In the shows I have attended the brokers have had between 50 and 100 displays.

Grand opening of Food Emporium in Marlboro, New Jersey

By: Rose Davis

Food Emporium (part of Key Foods) opened a new location on May 11, 2018 in Marlboro, NJ. This store is on Rt. 79 and Newman Springs Road, and brings the residents here convenience n an upscale suburban neighborhood. In speaking with the customers at the grand opening, they are thrilled to have a store that has unique, trending items, as well as fresh service departments. Ed Ounjian and I handed out approximately,150 reusable shopping bags and passed out samples provided by Bob's Red Mill. We were just at the top of the aisle of the 12 foot Bob's Red Mill section, which immediately drew the customers to shop the set, and give us positive feedback on the available selection of items. Many other great brands we assisted to gain shelf placement include: Vigo Alessi, Giuliano's, Vermont Village, Cholula, Dinosaur, Moore's, Red Duck, The Shed, Stash, Cardini's, Rice Select, Torani, White Coffee, BLK Water, After 8, Lakanto, Torie and Howard, Smashmallow, Cavendish & Harvey and Heartland.
