Day 1, March 7, Monday – DepartureDepart Chicago for Tel Aviv, Israel on your transatlantic flight with mealsserved on board.

Day 2, March 8, Tuesday – Arrival, Jaffa Arrive at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv and visit the Biblical Joppa, nowthe port city of Jaffa. Transfer to Netanya for overnight at the hotel aftera long flight.

Day 3, March 9, Wednesday – Mount Carmel, Megiddo, NazarethVillage, CanaVisit Mount Carmel, the traditional site where the prophet Elijahdefeated the prophets of Baal. Travel the caravan route to Megiddo,where 20 different cities lie superimposed upon each other, and whereSolomon built his stables. Visit Nazareth Village, a museum in the openair, to see the way of life at the time of Jesus. Continue to the land ofCana, to the place where Christ performed his first miracle of turningthe water into wine. You will also, visit a church that commemoratesthis miraculous event. Overnight in Tiberias hotel.

Day 4, March 10, Thursday – Capernaum, Chorazin, Tel Dan, CaesareaPhillipi, BethsaidaVisit Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in the area. See thesynagogue, which stands on the site where Jesus taught. Recall histeaching and preaching the gospel of the kingdom (Matt.4: 13, 23).Next, visit Chorazin, one of the towns cursed by Jesus for failing to heedhis message. Travel to Northern Galilee to visit Tel Dan and see themud brick arch constructed in Canaanite times. Visit Caesarea Philippi,where Jesus traveled with His disciples and where nearby Peter madehis great profession of faith “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the livingGod” (Matt. 16: 16). See the Banyas Spring, one of the sources ofJordan River. Stop at Bethsaida, where Jesus chose five of Hisdisciples. Return to your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight aftera long touring day.

Day 5, March 11, Friday – Sea of Galilee, Jesus Boat, Boat Ride, Mountof Beatitudes, Magdala, Yardenit Baptisimal SiteAt Kibbutz Nof Ginnosar, learn about the “Ancient Boat”, a rareexample of the kind of boat in which Jesus would have sailed. Take aboat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Stand atop the Mount of Beatitudes,where Jesus preached to the people and have a church worshipservice. Travel to the Jordan River and remember Jesus’ baptism atthe Yardenit Baptismal Site. Overnight in Tiberias hotel.

Day 6, March 12, Saturday – Gideon's Spring, Beit Shean, Bethlehem Visit Gideon’s Spring, (Ein Harod), where Gideon gathered the army ofIsrael against the Midianites. Travel to the ruins of Beit Shean, wherethe bodies of Saul and his sons were displayed on the walls after theywere killed in battle. Beit Shean is also noted for having the best-preserved ancient Roman theatre in Israel.Travel to Bethlehem to seethe cave, revered as the place where Jesus was born and visit theChurch of the Nativity, the world’s oldest functioning church. Arrive inJerusalem hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7, March 13, Sunday – Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane,Bethesda & St.Anne's,Via DolorosaStand atop the Mount of Olives as Jesus did and enjoy a remarkableview of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem. Forty days after Hisresurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven from the Mount of Olives.Visit Dominus Flevit, the church built on the place where Jesusmourned for Jerusalem. Have a worship service at the Garden ofGethsemane. Visit the church of All Nations.View the Pool of Bethesdawhere Jesus cured the paralytic who had been ill for thirty eight yearsand visit the Church of St. Anne. Visit Herod’s Antonia Fortress, whereJesus was brought before Pontius Pilate. Walk the Via Dolorosa andstand in reverence at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Return to yourhotel after full day for dinner and overnight.

Day 8, March 14, Monday – Western Wall, House of Caiaphas, UpperRoom, Southern Steps, City of David, & Friends of Zion Heritage CenterVisit the Western Wall and the Temple Mount. Walk through theWestern Wall Tunnel to see the ancient pavement of the Old City ofJerusalem Continue to Mount Zion to visit the House of the High PriestCaiaphas, where Jesus was imprisoned for a night. Stand in the Upper

Day 9, March 15, Tuesday – Qumran, Ein Gedi, MasadaTravel to Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scroll discovery, to discuss themysterious community of Essenes who once lived on the shores of theDead Sea. Journey to the oasis of Ein Gedi, where David and his mensought refuge from Saul (1 Samuel 23). Visit Masada, Herod’smountaintop fortress that became the last stronghold of the Jewish

Rebellion against the Romans. Ride the cable car to the top to explore.Peer down upon the remains of the Roman camps and siege rampbelow. Return to your hotel in Jerusalem for overnight.

Day 10, March 16, Wednesday – Garden Tomb, Dig in MareshaHave a worship service at the Garden Tomb, the possible site of theGarden of Joseph of Arimathea, and experience the reality of theResurrection. Visit Maresha, and the caves of Beit Guvrin, which housedhomes, baths, and water cisterns during the Maccabean times.Participate in one - day Archaeological Dig. Return to your hotel for dinnerand overnight.

Day 11, March 17, Thursday – Departure and Arrival. Transfer to the airport for your return flight home with the same dayarrival.
