Project Goog-a-binge Update
Drilling commenced in February; there have been 49 wells
drilled to date
Project Goog-a-binge’s central and southern wells can be
delivered within existing State and Federal approvals. QGC
requires additional approvals to develop the full scope of
work in the north, and we have been working with both State
and Federal governments to achieve this
Our construction timetable has been impacted by the
approvals process and we are working to minimise impacts
on community and landholders from this change
Site preparation continues across our areas of operation and
you may notice increased traffic movements during this time.
Appropriate traffic management plans will be in place.

RPAS Update
Shell’s QGC business has decided not to renew the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) technology contract (with Boeing
subsidiary Insitu) which was coming up for its second renewal.
The decision is based on a number of factors - but most importantly, the current contract and program is not delivering ongoing
value that justifies continued business investment.
We will continue to utilise this type of technology (drones) where we see safety and value benefits for our business.
In many ways, this project has been a key part of the business’ digitisation and innovation journey and opened our eyes to
many more opportunities. The experience will assist QGC in matching future technologies to the business model ambitions now
and in the future.

Gangarri Solar Project Update
Shell has now heavily progressed our plans for a solar
energy project in Queensland
If sanctioned, it would be our first in Australia – building on
Shell’s growing portfolio of renewable energy projects
around the world
The proposed project is a 120MW solar plant to be built on
QGC owned land in the Wandoan area, close to Powerlink’s
(state utility) Wandoan South substation
We are awaiting on our final Offer-to-Connect to allow the
project to proceed

Changes to how we advertise work packages
QGC has recently completed a 12 month pilot with EconomX.
Based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders, we have chosen to change the platform we use to advertise scopes
of work and expressions of interest.
We will transition from using EconomX to Online Procurement System (OPS) after September.
We have made this decision to be fit for the long-term, to facilitate stability for communities
July 2019 20
Benefits of OPS
Your business and its capability will be more visible to QGC.
Easy sign up and access: Sign up once to see scopes of work from QGC and major contractors. Work packages are
immediately visible to communities from the front page. A reciprocal agreement with the Industry Capability Network (ICN)
means that, with your permission, we can import your existing registration details with ICN.
With a few clicks you can share your business’ registration details with other major buyers that use OPS – e.g. Rio Tinto.
Dedicated phone technical support available, as requested by communities.
Communities able to visibly track our local contributions and outcomes from a dashboard on the website’s landing page.

Social Investment Planning – 2020 to 2022
We engaged with local communities (Western Downs and Gladstone) in
March, to confirm community priorities for our next social investment cycle
We heard from Western Downs community representatives:
We are aware of QGC’s social investment programs
QGC’s programs are having a positive effect in our community
Our top community priorities are still:
Regional economic sustainability and growth
Local employment
Community liveability
We need more focus on Indigenous history and culture
More needs to be done in preventative health
Volunteering is just as important (we want your people, not your money)
Lack of childcare is a critical issue in Wandoan
