To Develop the ambassadors of self-sufficiency,

in addition to meet the increasing demand for

middle level managers of the Voluntary, Semi-

Governmental and Governmental organizations

functioning in rural development, small industrial

and co-operative sectors at village, taluka and

district levels.

Purpose

Training personnel with necessary managerial

abilities like leadership, decision making, planning

communication and execution of developmental

projects for rural society.

Admission Procedure

Application :

The prescribed application forms, available during

the month of May/june from the centre.

Eligibility :

Minimum qualification is a Bachelor's degree in any

discipline with at least 45% marks. 50% reservation

for students of Gujarat vidyapith.

Selection Procedure :

objective type admission test, group discussion and

personal interview.

Reservation :

Stipulated percentages of the seats are reserved

for Scheduled castes, Scheduled tribes and OBC

candidates.

On joining the course, compulsory to wear

prescribed Khadi dress only and participate in

prayer and spinning sessions regularly.

The research work programme has been designed with a

view to sensitize the students with the realities of

rural communities and to expose the problems faced by

the rural managers and how they cope with them. Such

exposure provides them with an opportunity to develop

the skills and attitude necessary for working as

managers. The second semester students carry out

individual/group research work related to managerial

problems of rural sector under the guidance of any

faculty member and based on this; they submit the

research project reports.

Institutional Placement

The fourth semester students are placed in various organizations

which are working for rural development. They seek an

opportunity to come in active interaction with development

machinery and needy segment of society. They practice their

managerial skills and build confidence towards competency level

during this three month institutional placement. They perform their

various managerial role and responsibilities and improve the ability

of decision making for real world.

EXCEL, TATA CHEMICAL, Abhiyan, GNFC, JSS, EMPOWER, Deepak

In the vicinity of state capital, Gandhinagar, in study conducive

atmosphere. Having facilities of Auditorium, Computer Centre,

Library. Also M. D. GramSeva Mahavidyalaya, Nature care Hospital

and Krishi Vigyan Kendra on the same campus.

management, rural and general subjects, Remains open during the

working hours of the institute.

is equipped with various teaching aids.

The Centre has taken an initiation to form an association of pass out

students of MRM in 2004. It is aimed to keep in touch with each other

and make meaningful interaction for the benefit of the present as

well as future generation of the group. The institutional goal to

promote and support this association is to strengthen the rural

development extension activities at grass-root level. In future, we

will be able to get feedback and utilize it to inspire and motivate the

work environment. We have developed the web platform to keep alive

the interaction always.
