After twenty years with the band, Séan realized that he was losing his way, and decided to leave the band and start over. Séan’s journey to find his own peace, love, and happiness continues through his new music; a collection of songs sung by a man intent on sharing his joy directly with his audience. Despite how small social media has made the world, the basic human quest for a connection to something real is too difficult to fit in just 140 characters. For the first time CircusWest, who is known for their incredibly charming series of kid’s circus shows, is bringing their VERVE Inspired Circus show to Chilliwack, in a performance that audiences of all ages will be enthralled by. Projections of the Pacific Northwest create the lush backdrop, and a magnificent array of masks distinguish the alluring cast of characters. rough elegant acrobatics, remarkable aerials, and contemporary circus, this incredibly talented group of performers weave together a dynamic story about the power of engagement. Fireflight will take you on a magical adventure that tells the tale of a young hummingbird fighting against a raging forest fire, and how her actions inspire the other animals in the forest to take a stand. Witness the hummingbird soar on aerial straps, the spirit bear balance precariously in handstand atop an old growth tree, and the grey wolf bound acrobatically on stilts throughout the forest. Coming together, they strive to protect the fragile environment of the forest they call home and discover how important taking action can be. CircusWest is known for their incredible series of shows that feature the talented young performers learning circus arts, at their extensive circus arts centre. Given the opportunity to explore circus arts in an encouraging and safe environment, the circus performing arts society focuses on strengthening individual performance skills, fitness, confidence, and a sense of community.
