Loan Closing/Servicing Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

To close and service mortgage loans for the Cornerstone Fund.

LOAN CLOSING - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibility is to insure that approved loans are ready to close at the earliest

possible date. Any delays in the loan closing process should be at the initiation of the borrower

not the lender.

Review the terms and conditions under which the loan was approved and make sure that

any and all special conditions are met prior to closing;

Contact church to determine which title company is to handle the loan closing;

Order mortgagee title insurance commitment and flood insurance certification;

Review mortgagee title commitment and make sure that title contingencies or title defects

are cleared before the loan is closed;

Prepare loan documents (note, mortgage/deed of trust etc.) for new loan originations;

Verify receipt of required insurance coverage in the required designated amounts;

Prepare loan closing instruction letter;

Set up loan profile on FiServ System;

Prepare check requests or wiring instructions for closing fees/initial disbursements;

Track security documents (follow-up to make sure that original documents ( notes,

mortgage/deed of trust and mortgagee title insurance policy ) are received); and

Maintain an accurate accounting of all committed loans.

LOAN SERVICING - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Print and distribute monthly loan reports including the mailing of Loan Trial Balance

Reports to Conference Ministers;

Assist the Associate Director of the Cornerstone Fund - Loan Servicing in handling

construction loan disbursements and construction loan file documentation;

Prepare estoppel/payoff letters, mortgage satisfactions, mortgage modification

agreements and partial releases;

Ensure that all loans have sufficient all risk insurance coverage, monitor insurance

maturity dates, follow-up on insurance cancellation notices, and input all renewal data on

the Fiserv system (Insurance Expiration Report & Insurance Premiums Due Report);

Review all existing closed loans to ensure that all required documentation (original notes,

recorded mortgages or deeds of trust, title policies and insurance declaration forms/pages)

is on file, that duplicate information is removed and that all files are securely fastened and

filed in the proper cabinets;

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answer telephones, relay messages, transfer telephone calls, and respond to inquires;

Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A thorough understanding of mortgage loan closings including title searches, loan

Job Description

SUMMARY: Drives agency vehicles to transport clients, other personnel, documents and

packages for the Agency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may

be assigned.

Transport clients to special pre-scheduled outings or various programs sponsored by the

Agency.

Deliver mail and confidential documents to agency's outpost locations and other external

destinations.

Maintain daily logs to include dates, destination, client names and odometer readings.

Keeps vehicles clean, polished, and in operating condition and keep accurate vehicle

records.

Obey all traffic laws and reports any driving related incidents/accidents to supervisor.

(GED). Two years direct work experience driving groups. Valid Ohio driver's license with less
