The "Independent Study" Element (Object A) is a learning path, or the seriesof items that make up theindependent study course. For Knobology Applications, the items making up the "Independent Study"include viewing the presentation, passinga final quiz, and completing a survey. The time and datestamps associatedwith this element indicate the time and date the individual began the course, and thetime and date the individual finished the course.

The "Presentation" Element (Object B) is a SCORMobject that is tracked by the LearningManagementSystemto ensure individuals view at least 80% of the presentation. The data line "cmi.core.total_time"indicates the total time the participant spent viewing and/or interacting with the object. For example,the student sdammann, spent one (1) hour, thirteen (13) minutes, and eleven (11) secondsviewing thepresentation and earned a completion.
