(15) Description

The Oxygen/Combustibles Transmitter Type OCX 88C is designed to continuously measure both oxygen and combustibles content of flue gases. The flameproof enclosure comprises two individual enclosures, one for the sensor assembly and one for the electronics assembly. These two enclosures may be configured either for integral architecture, separated by a sealed fitting, or for split architecture, separated by up to 150 feet interconnecting cabling.

(15) Description

The Oxygen/ Combustibles Transmitters Model OCX 8800 measures both the oxygen and combustibles content of flue gas. These two enclosures may be configured either for integral separated with a sealed fitting or for split architecture separated by up to 150 feet with interconnect cabling between them.

Installation instructions

The cable entry devices and blanking elements of unused apertures shall be of a certified flameproof type, suitable for the conditions of use and correctly installed.

Routine tests

Each flange weldment assembly of the sensor enclosure probe shall be subjected to an overpressure test according to EN 60079-1, clause 15.1.3.1, using a test pressure of 14,5 bar for at least 10 seconds. The enclosure shall withstand the pressure without suffering permanent deformation of the joints or damage to the enclosure.

Routine tests are not required for the electronics housing since the type test has been made at a static pressure of four times the reference pressure.
