Little MagicThermodynamic Box IV

The LMTB IV is our latest, most innovative Solar Assisted Heat Pump to date. Designed to retro-fit to all domestic hot water storage cylinder systems.

MCS accredited by BRE and ERP A rated, the LMTB IV utilises thermodynamic principles and exploits state-of-the-art components.

The new Blueberry intelligent controller allows the LMTB IV to automatically heat up to 60OC for a weekly anti-legionella cycle as well as learning how the cylinder heats water, ensuring energy is not wasted heating water when not needed. See separate info sheet for more details.

LMTB IV Blueberry ControllerUpon installation the LMTB IV will begin its first cylinder heat up to 60OC - the system’s first anti-legionella cycle. This will then set the 7 day anti-legionella cycle, whereby the LMTB IV will work to the nearest pre-set heat-up time to rise to 60OC.

The LMTB IV uses a bespoke ‘just in time’ technologywithin the Blueberry controller to create these set heat up times, the LMTB IV heats the water to a pre-set temperature of 55OC twice a day, once in the morning at 06:00 and later in the day at 16:00.

The LMTB IV does this for efficiency, ensuring that it does not hold the idling temp at 55OC but rather at the two highest usage times of day.

The controller also continuously analyses the heat loss from the cylinder. By understanding this heat loss the LMTB IV is able to compute the time it will take to reheat the water 1 degree at any time.

To maintain an efficient mode the controller will begin to heat the cylinder if the temperature of the cylinder falls below 45OC at any point.

The LMTB IV also has a proprietary ‘double-boost’ heat-up process when used with the immersion. Once engaged the LMTB IV will work alongside the immersion, heating the water to 55OC at twice the efficiency before automatically switching off.

Aluminium roll bond evaporators are designed to provide unique flexibility for direct evaporation of refrigerants in our Solar Assisted Heat Pump range.

Our double skin thermodynamic panels have been designed to allow the refrigerant gas to react with the ambient air from both the front and back

Our MCS accredited - Single skin Globus thermodynamic panel has been tested at a DAKKS accredited test centre to EN ISO 9806 2013 which means the panel has been tested for: Internal PressureHigh Temperature Resistance, External Thermal Shock Mechanical Load.

Each panel is also tested before leaving our warehouse and pre-charged with nitrogen.
