We’d like to Thank everyone involved in our 2019 Christmas Festival!!
First of all we had wonderful volunteers to help set up Friday night, which makes the staff and board members much happier! Thank you! The Breakfast and Photos with Santa were a hit! Thank you Paul Nelles for being our Santa, Adamus Catering for the wonderful food, the American Legion Post 492, Rothschild, for sponsoring and running our Christmas Wishes to the Troops, Antsy Pants Paints Face-Painting and all of the wonderful volunteers that helped throughout the day including board members (and family members) and the Local Boy Scouts Troop. Our Craft Show went smoothly and was very busy all day! We had 157 crafters, direct sales vendors and businesses. Thank you to all of the volunteers for helping with set-up and assisting vendors on Saturday. Our basket raffle went extremely well and we will possibly be able to add another scholarship or increase the money the two Mosinee High School students are awarded for the first time ever! The parade also went very well! We had 61 wonderful, colorful floats. Our judges narrowed down the winners to be… #1 - Pit Stop Bar & Grill and Brad Emanuel, #2 - Lamer’s Bus and #3 - Mullin’s Cheese. Honorable mentions were given to R&J Auto Repair and the Mosinee High School Band. Thank you for Swatloski Trucking for carrying Santa and special Thank you to the Police and Fire Departments for helping us put everything together. We cannot complain about the weather either, it was perfect.
Lastly, we’d like to THANK all of our sponsors! This event could not run without their sponsorships and support! Adamus Catering, Advantage Community Bank, Arow Global, Crystal Finishing Systems, Hayes-Graphics, Kronenwetter Veterinary Clinic, Lite Gard LLC, Marathon Cheese, McDonalds, NRG Media, Sweet Nothings Cakes, Valley Communities Credit Union and all of our basket donators - Cellcom, Kafka Granite, LPG Gifts, Lindsey Ker-sten/National Mutual Benefit, Mosinee Family Chiropractic, Ontogeny Advertising & Design, Oriental Trading, Pinewood Supper Club, Sconni’s Alehouse & Eatery and The Bar, Rothschild.

VILLAGE OF KRONENWETTER NEWS
This past year was a year of setting plans in place for the
future of the Village of Kronenwetter. The Village Board, in
working with the Plan Commission, completed an update
to the Village’s long term planning document, the
Comprehensive Plan. The plan provides an overall view of
the community and sets the direction for the future
growth. The Comprehensive Plan identifies the nine
elements as required by State Statues. These include;
Issues and Opportunities, Natural Resources, Housing,
Utilities and Community Facilities, Transportation,
Economic Development, Land Use, Intergovernmental
Cooperation and Implementation. The Village also
included two additional chapters: Broadband/
Telecommunications and Public Engagement. Within
these chapters, the Village identified 148 objectives from
which the Village will set priorities and make policy
decision on over the next 20 years. In order to further
refine those objectives identified, the Village Board
developed a Strategic Plan which will focus down on the
top 11 priorities that will then focus the Village’s time and
resources over the next 2-3 years.
Finally, the Village Board adopted the first Financial
Management Plan with the assistance of our consultant
Ehlers. This plan takes a look at the needs of the Village
and sets a course for how the Village pays for those needs
while still ensuring that the Village is an affordable place
to live and do business. If you want to see any of these
plans, please go to our website - www.kronenwetter.org for
more information.
