Golfers Enjoy TEE-riffic Day at 47th Annual OutingHanover Chamber members, guests and volunteers enjoyed a day of golf, networking and fun at the 47th Annual Chamber Golf Outing, presented by Ox Industries. The event drew 100 golfers to the Hanover Country Club, with proceeds benefiting Main Street Hanover.

Register Your Team to Earn Bragging Rights at the Corporate ChallengeRegistrations are now being accepted for the 2016 Corporate and Community Challenge, scheduled for Fri. Sept. 16. Will your team be the one to knock off last year’s winners from Stambaugh Ness and take home the traveling trophy?
The Corporate and Community Challenge is comprised of a full day of fun, team-building activities and friendly competition. Past events have included obstacle courses, laser tag, tug-of-war and dodge ball.
This year’s event will be held at the CrossFit Hanover at Adams-York Sports Performance. Lunch and light refreshments are provided with the cost of registration.
Ready to register? Teams are comprised of six participants; each team MUST include two females, but the criteria end there! Challengers of any age, profession and ability level are encouraged to participate,
and teams are invited to create a unique name that sets them apart from the pack.

ACNB Bank commemorated the opening of its new South Hanover Office with a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 17. The new retail banking office, located at 1801 Baltimore Pike in Hanover, replaces the former location at 865 Baltimore Street, providing a more convenient banking experience for Hanover area residents.
“As a full-service banking location, the new South Hanover Office features drive-up teller, drive-up ATM, and night depository services. In addition, commercial, residential and consumer lending activities, as well as trust and investment services, are available through this office location,” said James P. Helt, ACNB Bank President.
In conjunction with the office opening, ACNB Bank is donating $2 to the Hanover Area YMCA for every person that visits the new office on Baltimore Pike between May 18 and June 18, up to a maximum of $2,000. This amount is in addition to the Bank’s $3,500 in contributions in 2016 to support the Hanover YMCA’s South Hanover Capital Campaign and Kids Come First Campaign.
“The Hanover Area YMCA is an ideal place to nurture the potential of kids and to help people maintain healthy lifestyles,” commented Mr. Helt. “ACNB Bank is pleased to contribute to this organization and to support our neighbors.”

OX Industries is pleased to announce the purchase of Philadelphia, PA based equipment maker, Paco Winders Manufacturing, Inc.
Paco manufactures equipment that is used for making paper tubes and cores, composite cans, and other packaging like uncoated recycled paperboard and other substrates.

Ox Industries Acquires Paco Winders Manufacturing
The Board of Hanover Hospital has announced the appointment of Michael W. Gaskins as President and Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2016. Gaskins has served in the role of Interim President and Chief Executive Officer since July 24, 2015, and has led the hospital toward significant positive achievements over the past year.
“Mike has strategically guided the organization throughout the last year. Hanover HealthCare PLUS continues to prosper despite turbulent times
within the healthcare industry and the Board looks forward to the future with Mike as our President and CEO,” said Dr. Spears.
“This past year has been very exciting for the hospital and our affiliates. Particularly with the clinical addition of EVAR and the opening of our new and expanded Heart and Vascular Center, more patients can remain in our community and receive top quality care. I am impressed daily with the commitment and compassion of our associates and medical staff. I’m honored to be provided the confidence by our Board to serve as President and CEO,” said Gaskins.
Gaskins joined Hanover Hospital in May of 2011, as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his role as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, Gaskins was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with responsibilities for the overall financial activities of the organization, as well as the provision of administrative leadership to Hanover Medical Group. Gaskins holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1991. He has over 16 years of healthcare management experience.

OX INDUSTRIES ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGESOX Industries has announced several operation management changes within its organization. Mark Wallace has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations. He began his career in 1992 at the Newark Group in their mill division. He spent 7 years with Corenso North America involved with their mill and tube and core divisions. He has been a valuable member of the OX Industries executive team since 2012 and has built a great team to lead OX into the future.
Jeff Lyman has been named the new Vice President of Mill Operations. Lyman has been the General Manager of the Pekin Mill for the last six years. His career began in 1986 at Tama Paperboard, where he worked his way up to become a Supervisor and then later the Mill Superintendent. In 2008, Lyman left Tama to become the Production Manager at Rock-Tenn Dallas. The professional experience and knowledge Lyman has gained throughout his career make him a perfect fit to lead Ox’s Mill Division into the future.
Tim Michaels has been named the Vice President of Tube & Core Operations. Michaels has been the General Manager at the Constantine Mill for four years. Prior to OX, Michaels was the Plant Manager at Corenso’s Tube & Core operation for nine years and Plant Manager at Western Container for two years. His leadership skills and experience on the mill and converting side will aide in his success in his new position as OX continues to expand its converting operations.
Michael Raymond will be the new General Manager of the Constantine Mill. Raymond comes to OX from Caraustar Industries where he was the General Manager. Before working for Caraustar, he was the Plant Manager at The Newark Group Mobile Paperboard and The Newark Group Haverhill Paperboard, as well as various other supervisory positions through the years. Raymond’s manufacturing and managerial experience will greatly contribute to his future success at Constantine.
DEANER RECOGNIZED FOR 40 YEARS OF SERVICE
David W. Deaner of ACNB Bank was recognized for serving 40 years in the banking industry at the Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PA Bankers) Group 5 Meeting. Deaner is
not only commemorating 40 years in the banking industry, he is also celebrating 40 years with ACNB Bank.
Deaner was hired in 1976 as a teller at The National Bank of Arendtsville, which merged with ACNB Bank, then Adams County National Bank, in 1978. Over his career, he has expanded his banking expertise by working in a variety of areas of the Bank, including retail banking, residential mortgage lending, and commercial lending.
He currently serves as Vice President/Commercial Loan Officer and is based at ACNB Bank’s North Gettysburg Office.

2015 Annual ReportOn June 15, Main Street Hanover held their first Annual Meeting Reception & Update. During this event they presented their brand new 2015 Annual Report. Some of the most exciting successes of 2015 include:• Welcomed 29 new businesses that opened in the Central Business District• Launched a new website, featuring a business directory and event calendar (Launched Nov. 2014)• Received two Department of Community and Economic Development Grants as a Designated Keystone Community, $40,000 Façade Grant funding and $10,750 for an architectural study to be completed at 22 Carlisle Street, as part of a Planning Grant.• Raised over $6,810 in event sponsorships• Released the Business Recruitment brochure for downtown business attraction• Unveiled new public art piece in downtown, ‘Past, Present and Future’ by Jeff Asper (Nov. 2014)• Assisted the Borough of Hanover in enacting a new parking permit system• Hosted three new successful downtown events; Main Street Mini-Golf, Sip & Stroll and Oktoberfest• Participated in two local events, Utz Summer Bash and Hanover Chamber’s Dutch Festival• Reinvigorated the merchant group
