Shop Local, Buy Local: Chamber Dollars Although we’re in the thick of the summer months, it’s never too early to start planning for the holiday shopping season. This year, make sure that your business maximizes local shopping by accepting Chamber Dollars. A program exclusive to Hanover Chamber members, Chamber Dollars are redeemable for goods and services (same as cash) at any participating member business. There is no cost to members to participate, and all participating businesses will be promoted throughout the holiday season in Chamber marketing for the Chamber Dollars program. This program is run directly by the Chamber; checks are sold in $10 and $25 denominations, and contain an array of security features, including thermochromic ink, padlock icon and a chemical-wash detection area. Chamber Dollars are easy for the retailer. Treat these checks just like you would a consumer’s check by depositing the check at your financial institution. If the customer does not use the entire amount of the Chamber Dollars, the difference is not to be given as cash. It is essentially a “use or lose” system. This ensures a seamless process for both the Chamber and the participating members. Participating businesses will be listed on the Chamber website, and each business will be provided marketing collateral and point-of- sale material to signify that Chamber Dollars are accepted. To participate in Chamber Dollars this holiday season and have your business promoted at no cost, please be sure to indicate your interest to the Chamber office no later than August 31, 2016. Again, there is no cost beyond Chamber membership to participate in the program. For more information, please contact the Chamber office. Telecommunication costs are one of the top five operating expenses incurred by a business.

Concerned about your telecommunication costs? Not sure where to start or who to call? The Chamber can get you dialed into an opportunity that will help save you money!

DenMark and the Chamber have created a partnership that will help you save money on your telecommunication costs. DenMark clients typically realize a savings of 19%. Saving money is always a great benefit when running a business.

Unlike most telecommunications sales representatives, DenMark does not work for a single provider. DenMark is an independent firm that has partnerships with key providers, with access to a complete assortment of telecommunications services from local, long distance, and cellular to data/high speed internet to equipment, maintenance, and cabling.

DenMark has the ability to offer top resources, yet is flexible enough to continually adapt to changing technology. DenMark combines IT solutions experience with carrier services expertise to delivery you optimal collaboration and network solutions to reach your business goals.

DenMark Business Solutions, Inc. is a consulting firm specializing in helping businesses understand and control their telecommunications costs. With constant acquisitions and mergers, coupled with ever-changing technology, you need more than a sales representative selling you a new plan – and with DenMark, you get more.

For more information about this Chamber benefit, contact Erinn Bell, Operations Manager, at 717-637-6130 or [email protected].

ACNB Bank commemorated the opening of its new South Hanover Office with a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 17. The new retail banking office, located at 1801 Baltimore Pike in Hanover, replaces the former location at 865 Baltimore Street, providing a more convenient banking experience for Hanover area residents.

“As a full-service banking location, the new South Hanover Office features drive-up teller, drive-up ATM, and night depository services.
