Greater Des Moines (DSM) will host the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Convention on July 17 through 20. This is the nation’s largest annual gathering of people who work for and with Chambers of Commerce. Unlike men who have networked for more than 6,000 years – on baseball diamonds, football fields and golf courses; in locker rooms and board rooms - women are new at this mentoring business. Today, there’s a huge need for mentors who can help Central Iowa women navigate their path to success more effectively. This morning event, held at (6-7?) different venues across the metro, offers women of all ages an opportunity to meet potential mentors. Multi-chamber celebration held March 1stOur fellow chamber member, David Graham, celebrated a multi-chamber ribbon cutting and grand opening at their offices in West Des Moines. Urbandale and Fuse chambers were invited as well as the Norwalk chamber to network, celebrate and raise money for the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.
