Sometimes people get sick.
Viruses are tiny germs that can make people sick.2
Viruses can be passed from one person to another by shaking hands,
touching food, or through the air when a person coughs or sneezes.
3
The Coronavirus is a new type of virus.
People also call it COVID-19.
4
To make sure everyone stays safe, there are a few changes that might
happen.5
6
To stop spreading the virus, Some changes might be that some places might
close. This includes shops, schools, restaurants, playgrounds and some of
my other favourite places.
I will have to spend more time at home.
7
I might not be able visit my friends and some of my family.
8
This is ok. There are lots of things that I can do instead.
9
I can do my school work online. My teacher will give me some work to do
at home so that I can keep learning. I can ask an adult at home if I need
help with my work.10
I can ask an adult if I can phone or video call my friends or family to talk
to them.11
Some of these changes might make me feel worried or upset.
12
Give myself some squeezes
13
Take some deep breaths
14
Play with my favourite toys or do a fun activity
15
Ask an adult for help
16
Play some calming music or draw.
17
It’s okay to feel like this. My family will help me feel better.
18
COVID 19 won’t last forever. When people start feeling better, things might change back to normal again.
