Chapter 12 – Purpose of Abiding Abiding in Christ is to know you don’t have to strive to accomplish anything in order for God to love and accept you. Abiding is keeping your heart steadfast in His, so that you can see the way He sees, hear what He says, and do what He’s asks you to do. Abiding is the key to answered prayer because it’s how we truly capture the heart of Christ, and the fruit of His grace. On page 81 we listed 5 hindrances to abiding; sin, busyness, healing/deliverance needs, limited mindsets, and lack of tenacity. What areas, if any, do you feel keep you from abiding? On page 80, we listed 4 practical action steps for abiding; obedience, prayer, worship, and reading the word. Which areas are you strong? Which areas do you need to strengthen?
