Definition
• Multi‐view projection is a method by means of hi h th t h f bj t bwhich the exact shape of an object can be
represented by two or more separate views produced on projection planes that are usually at right angles to each other
• Is the method of depicting (to represent by a p g ( p ypicture) three dimension objects or concepts with sets of two dimensional drawings
Method of obtaining the view

Natural method
• The necessary views are obtained by looking di tl t th ti l id f th bj tdirectly at the particular side of the object
• i.e at the top, front and right side

“Glass Box” method
• An imaginary glass box is used to obtain the th ithree view
• The views are obtained by running projectors from points on the object to the plane
• The object is placed in a glass box.
• The side of the box represent the 6 principle planes.
• The image of the object is projected on the sides of the box.
• The box is unfolded creating the 6 principle views.
