Social Responsibility is important in a business because it’s the duty of a business to contribute to the well – being of a community. A business must weigh the interests and concerns of many groups to be successful.

Businesses have a responsibility to please the people in the area.

Renewable resources are resources that can be reused or replaced when it is used up.

Examples of this are: trees (reforestation programs) and energy can also be renewed.

Non – renewable resources are natural resources that cannot be replaced when used up.

Examples: gas, oil, and minerals such as copper and iron ore

It is important to provide employee benefits as a business because a healthy worker is a productive workplace. Having a safe place to work is important to all employees. They should be able to work in an office or factory free from the risks that could cause accidents. But if something were to happen, the business always needs to back them up with health benefits.

Most good businesses do go really far to make there employees happy; two of these companies are: Google & SAS

Google keeps their employees happy by providing flexible hours, casual Fridays, coffee and tea, family events, company-wide competitions, child care facilities, nice office supplies, parties, friendly IT personnel, and good food!

SAS keeps employees happy by providing a place where their children are cared for, they can exercise, visit the doctor, and even eat.

The roles of government in an economic system are: Providing services for members of society, protecting citizens-consumers-businesses- and workers, regulating utilities and promoting competition, providing information and support, buying goods and services, hiring employees, and raising revenue.
