Project Reports: None

Old Business:

A. AirVenture Cup – AirVenture Cup race expenses for food and beverages were $650, paid by Bob Mohr. Syd reimbursed Bob from the Chapter treasury. Dave Conrad reported that the race will end in Wausau next year also, so don’t miss it. B. Baby Ace – Wyatt Chmiel provided magnetos and gears for the Baby Ace, worth $2800. There is not enough money in the treasury to reimburse Wyatt at this time. We need to hold a Chapter Board of Directors meeting to transfer more money from the Bob Payzer Gift Fund to the Chapter Treasury. Terry Oestreich made a motion to move $5000 from the Payzer Fund to the Chapter Treasury. Scott Oestreich seconded the motion, and it passed. C. Nominating Committee Report – The Nominating Committee, consisting of Dave Conrad, Keith Mathews and Jake LaSee has been trying to get a member to take over when Syd’s term as Secretary, Treasurer and Newsletter Editor ends in December. Dave reported that so far they have had no luck, but are still working on it. D. Next Chapter Project – Dave Conrad said that the son of the builder of the Fisher Classic Bi-plane has never gotten back to him, so Dave considers it to be a dead issue. Besides, it is only a single seat ultralite, and we would like to be able to use the next plane to give rides to kids. Dave is seriously considering the Wittman Buttercup. Tom Malato, one of our Chapter members donated a set of plans for a Buttercup to the Chapter

last year. Thank you Tom. The Buttercup is a two-place, side-by-side taildragger, which would fall into the LSA category. Dave is considering using the Jim Clement modifications, which would make it what Jim calls a “Butterburger.”

New Business: None, besides a discussion about the October election.

Upcoming meeting schedule:

November 8 (Saturday) – Tomahawk airport at noon.

December 13 (Saturday) – Combined Chapter Christmas Party at Merrill.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:22 pm. Motion by Scott Oestreich, seconded by Dave Conrad
