CHAPTER ONE
This is Emma. She loves to make art.

She has all of her art hanging in her room at home.
She has art made of paint on paper.

She has art made of clay that she sets on the top of her bookshelf.

The one she likes the best is her clay bird. She painted him blue.

He looks like the blue jay she sees outside her window each morning.

She has three big snowflakes made from glitter paper that hang by her window.

Father helped her hang them with thin string one day when it was snowing.

Each week Emma’s mother brings her to an art class at the library.
CHAPTER TWO

When she walks into the class, she likes to stop and look around. The room is filled with colors, smells, and sounds.

Today as Emma stands by the door of the art room, she looks around to see if she can find out what they will do.
