1 Identification/ pengenalan Followers (passive admirers)– looking to

someone who’ll identify himself with their problems

E.g.: Mahatma Gandhi (1915-1920) –was back to India from a successful movement in South Africa

Self-identification (Mahatma Gandhi ) “ truth and love as supreme values”

the change E.g. : Mahatma Gandhi (1921-1930)

5 Depersonalization / depersonalisasi Is a logical follower of the earlier step of

disenchantment – depersonalization and formalization

Leadership style – more burearcratic leadership

Leader start- delegating his task to his follower

E.g. : Mahatma Gandhi (1938-1942) - he made it clear that Jawaharlal Nehru will be his political heir - withdrew from the active politics

6 Alienation / Pemberian hakmilik This is the process of disintegration

of the three factors ( in phase one/step 1)

Due to formalization and bureaucratization of leadership – charismatic leadership becomes increasingly redundant /tidak diperlukan
