Another month has gone by and we are still growing. There has been 11 new members added to our lodge. They are eager to get involved and meet you at one of our events. Please don't become idle. Take time to introduce yourself and welcome them into the fold.
At all times remember the oath that you too have taken. Brotherly Love: typifies the golden rule that governs all mankind. Justice: "here lies the open bible." Even handed Justice is one of the great hallmarks of our Order. "Do unto others as we would they should do unto us." Let us not forget Charity: the highest virtue of every Elk creed. The influence of a good deed, honestly and properly performed, will continue forever. Fidelity: being the motto of the Exalted Ruler's station is symbolized by the star which shines above the altar. Fidelity requires strict adherence to our Obligation and in the discharge of our duties as members of society.
I pray that you will rekindle your passion for Elkdom and find the desire to get involved with us at the lodge. We miss you.
This month we have several events scheduled. Please pick out the ones you could help us with. We will need all hands on deck. Willing volunteers are encouraged to be at the lodge. As Exalted Ruler my leadership will only shine as I serve you, the members.
As a member of the Corvallis Elks
You are invited to join us at our Lodge Meeting
on Thursdays at 7 pm
Come early to enjoy the buffet that starts at 5:30
We hope to see you there!

Weight & Exercise Room Almost Finished !
The Elks gym is almost finished. Thanks to a great donation from Miller Paint
the gym will be painted this month. Stay tuned for more updates and remember
the donation jar at the bar that will go towards upgrading and adding workout equipment.
It's going to be the best little gym in town!
As the summer approaches we will be gearing up for spending more time outside. I have volunteered to coordinate the grounds preparation for the upcoming lodge picnic in July. I will be needing some assistance in early July spiffing up the picnic area at the range.
We have been pushing for volunteers to help with events but it is also important that members participate in the events going on at the lodge. The Friday steak night has been fairly popular and we usually have a good turnout for that event. Please look at the lodge calendar regularly to see if there is anything that strikes your interest. We also have a weekly poker game on Friday’s at 7 PM. 12 or more people at this event is not uncommon.
If there is anything YOU want to see happen at the lodge, let us know! If it is within our reach we will make it happen!
Last, I will be holding another concealed handgun safety class on June 18th at 6 PM.
Hello,
Thank you to all the members who have come in this past month to get their dues paid.
The membership team will be sending out reminders to all the delinquent members to remind them to get their dues current.
A reminder that all of the Lodge is off limits without a current membership. Our office is open most days after 1 and you can always pay your dues at the bar.
Glad to see you all who pop in to say hi and grab a treat.
Elks Care, Elks Share
The Corvallis Elks Lodge has a new website! Check it out! Daniel Mahoney has spent many hours creating a new website for our Lodge. The website is amazing and strongly reflects his talent, skills and creativity!
Thank you Daniel for creating a great representation of our Lodge! We appreciate all that you have done!

THANK YOU VETERANS!
Our welcome home project is going well and the backpacks will be delivered at the end of the month. Thanks for your suggestion and input. The gathering of coupons continue to be worthwhile. We sent in about $8.000 in value in May. Thanks to all who help. Thanks also to the two people who contributed to the collection of items for the Veterans home. The project ended at the State Convention and we were able to take our contributions to the Lebanon Lodge. We hope for more participation in the future. We sent out 80 cards to the Veterans home for Memorial Day. You are doing great with signing them. Sharron and I enjoyed our time at State Convention and I always learn more about serving our Veterans. It is interesting to hear what other lodges do. Remember that Veterans have a special place in the heart of Elkdom.
Things are running smoothly and a number of members have stepped up to help out We do dinners on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night and right now there are dedicated cooks for each meal.
Welcome back Joey and thank you for taking on Burger Night again. We are also offering homemade soup, sandwiches and salad bar on Wednesday for lunch.
Sometimes a cook cannot make it, so we need some back-up cooks to help us out. Usually, we just need help with prep, serving and bussing. Everyone is qualified to help us out there. No special skills required.
Frank Clark did a great job with the Beacon Grant lunch and Calvin helped with the lunch for the Realtors, which went really well. Alicia stepped up and did the food prep and set up for a memorial last month. Great job!
Jason is doing a bang-up job keeping the kitchen clean and organized. We need to do our part when we use the kitchen.
We have some special events during the summer which will need some help. Please watch for the Blaster, as Patty is great about keeping us informed. Most events only require a couple of hours of your time and volunteering is what Elks are all about.
If you are interested in helping out, email me at [email protected] or call 541-740-3517.
