Secretary’s Notes

My Brothers, After a great 100 year

celebration, much of the thanks go to

Worshipful Master Robert Frierson for

his many hours of hard work, along with

his wife Tanya at his side. We are busy

improving our Lodge, fresh paint, pic-

tures, new Brothers going through the

Degrees and already helping with any

outside activities they can.

On February 6, we had a District 20 and

21, zone 6, and Masonic Leadership in-

struction for MEQ, ME-1, And ME-1A

with Zone Chairman W. Thomas

Izuierdo, MLT ChairmanR.W Frank

Gaughen, and and District 20 Chairman

R.W. Sam Lampson. Ann we also com-

pleted MLT lessons 1-8.

This was perfect timing for our new

Master, Wardens and S. Deacon, as we

are now learning our new responsibilities

and Degree work.

prisoners of their own minds”. (Bro.

the lodge room and we have some other upgrades and projects that will get done thru out the year. If the craft has any ideas of improvement’s, I encourage everyone to come to a stated meeting let us know.

Also, I’m looking for some “different” ideas for dinner’s at the lodge meeting’s, so if there is anything that you might like to see on the menu that we haven’t done yet, please let me know! For this Trestle board, I thought about doing a poem called “5 points of symbolism”.

“Foot to foot that we may go, where our help we can bestow;

Pointing out the better way, lest our broth-ers go astray.

Thus our steps should always lead, To the souls that are in need.

Knee to knee, that we may share Every brother’s needs in prayer:

Giving all his wants a place, when we seek the throne of grace.

In our thoughts from day to day, for each other we should pray.

Breast to breast, to there conceal, what our lips must not reveal;

When a brother does confide, we must by his will abide.

Masons to us known, we must Cherish as our own.

Hand to back, our love to show, to the brother, bending low:

Underneath a load of care, which we may and ought to share.

That the weak may always stand, let us lend a helping hand.

Cheek to cheek, or mouth to ear, that our lips may whisper cheer

To our brother in distress, whom our words can aid and bless

Warn him if he fails to see, dangers that are known to thee.

Foot to foot, knee to knee and breast to breast, as brothers we:

Hand to back and mouth to ear, then that mystic word we hear,

Which we otherwise conceal, but on these five points reveal.”

My Brothers,

I don’t mean to be negative in my messages but I feel it is one of my responsibilities to make sure the Lodge is finan-

cially solvent and money is not wasted. We still have 31 brothers who have not paid their dues for 2016. At the end

of March these members will be 3 months late in paying their dues and I am required to send out late dues notices. These will be sent out by mail

which requires extra postage not to mention the extra time required to prepare and mail them.

Brothers, this is over 18% of our membership. Please look at your dues cards to make

sure they are current and, if not, send in your 2016 dues.

Fraternally,

Mike Palenik P.M.

Brothers,

The year has been very busy thus far

and we’re only a couple of months into

the year. We celebrated our 100th An-

niversary, already had an EA Degree

and started some much needed up-

grades to the interior of the lodge.

We’ve painted the dining hall, entry

hallway and the hallway leading into
