  • CHARTERED BANKER EDUCATIoN PATHWAyA blended learning programme incorporating face-to-face and online learning methods, the pathway is designed to give you the flexibility of qualifying for this prestigious status while being employed.

    It comprises three levels of qualification that generally require 3 to 5 years to completion:

    Who is it for?

    Chartered Banker combines theory and practice and will equip you with extensive, detailed and critical understanding of the banking sector to develop skills to make professional judgements and informed decisions in work situations.

    CHARTERED BANKER

    Seasoned professionals serving in leadership roles in the banking industry.

    Who is it for?

    ExECUTIvE BANKER

    Upon completion of Level 3 of the Chartered Banker qualification and having satisfied 3 years of approved practical experience, you will be able to apply for the Chartered Banker membership. The Chartered Banker membership is jointly awarded by AICB and the Chartered Banker Institute in the UK, the only body in the world able to confer the status of Chartered Banker. As a Chartered Banker, you will be required to demonstrate high standards of professional excellence, continuous development of knowledge and skills and compliance with the Institutes Code of Professional Conduct.

    The syllabus is based on the UK Chartered Banker curriculum, adapted and contextualised to the Malaysian Banking environment.

    IMPORTANT NOTES: To be admitted into the AICB qualification programmes, candidates must meet AICB entry requirements stipulated in the qualification entry criteria. Prior qualifications used for admission purposes will be subject to further assessment by AICB on a case-by-case basis on the level and content of

    the qualification. Prior qualifications used for admission purposes must be from Institutions recognised by AICB. Prior bank work experience if required must be relevant and are subject to further assessment by AICB on a case-by-case basis on the level and

    context of the experience. AICB entry requirements for qualifications are subject to change from time to time. Candidates are required to check AICBs website for the

    latest updates.

    Prior Qualification Requirement: Candidates are eligible to enter Executive Banker with ANY ONE of the following qualifications: Diploma Degree Professional Qualification SPM or equivalent qualification

    with minimum of 1 year banking experience at the time of enrolment

    Candidates may also enter Executive Banker if they are currently studying for a University Degree or Professional Qualification from Institutions recognised by AICB
