Cased-hole Logging CHAT—Cased-Hole Analysis Tool CHAT is a modular, multi-sensor measurement system capable of providing accurate data about reservoir rock parameters, fluid types, and fluid movement in and around the wellbore. Its functional modules include: Gamma Ray-CCL: Measures natural radioactive contributions from Potassium (K), Uranium (U) and Thorium (Th). CCL reacts to current change in a magnetic field due to change in metal thickness. Dual Energy Neutron Module: Using a Am241Be (16Ci) source and 4 neutron detectors (thermal/ epithermal, near/far), the tool provides highly accurate porosity data and neutron capture cross- section log to identify reservoir fluid types when the formation water salinity is known. Behind Casing Density Module: Using a focused Cs137 gamma ray source and 3 (near, med & far) detectors, the tool provides an accurate estimation of formation Bulk Density in cased wells under favorable cementing conditions. Production Logging Module: The production logging module includes wellbore fluid density sensor, temperature probe and other PL sensors depending on the application. Applications Primary porosity measurement (open-hole- quality) Depletion monitoring of producing reservoirs Steam flood evaluation and monitoring Production logging Coal bed methane evaluation Problem well diagnostics - for surface casing vent flow problems and reservoir fluids coning Reliable results can be used for optimization of frac stages in horizontal wells Features & Benefits The tool’s modular design provides versatility, efficiency and cost effective results. The modules are designed based on the same principals as open-hole logs and can deliver comparable results. Superior vertical resolution is attainable: 0.25m for BC Density 0.38m for ϕ and Σ Operation Multiple conveyance methods are possible, including wireline, E-Coil, pipe and push down conveyance. CHAT—Cased-Hole Analysis Tool

CHAT is a modular, multi-sensor measurement system capable of providing accurate data about reservoir rock parameters, fluid types, and fluid movement in and around the wellbore. Its functional modules include:

Gamma Ray-CCL: Measures natural radioactive contributions from Potassium (K), Uranium (U) and Thorium (Th). CCL reacts to current change in a magnetic field due to change in metal thickness.

Dual Energy Neutron Module: Using a Am241Be (16Ci) source and 4 neutron detectors (thermal/epithermal, near/far), the tool provides highly accurate porosity data and neutron capture cross- section ∑log to identify reservoir fluid types when the formation water salinity is known.
