SAINT-ÉMILION GRAND CRU 2014 At the foot of the finest slopes of Saint Emilion, a stone’s throw from the village enjoys the same privileged situation and stan- dards of excellence as its neighbours Château Laroque or Château Pavie, and the same meticulous care in its winemaking. Some technical notes Vineyard : 6 hectares Average age of the vines : 35 yo Soil & sub-soils : clay and limestone Density : 6500 vines per hectare Production : +/- 8 000 btls Varietals : 95% Merlot Noir, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon Blackcurrant on the lovely fresh fruity nose with black-berry and raspberry. Wonder-fully smooth, subtle palate with velvety tannins and superb freshness. A floral, elegant and complex wine. 100% oak barrels of which 30% new. Vine plots are located as follows: 2 ha along and near the Château Troplong Mondot , 1 ha with the same exposure as Château Pavie and 3 ha on the south facing slopes..
