Akario Backline
Purpose: The Rx30 Pharmacy System interfaces with a Messaging System called
Akario Backline. Pharmacist and Techs communicate to a patient or doctor via secure
text message. The patient or doctor receives the text along with a secure URL.
When clicked it opens to a chat thread which a response can then be entered from the
smart phone. Highlights include taking a picture, video, sound recording, or uploading
a document to the conversation.

Purpose: The interface must be up and running for Rx30 to communicate with Akario
Backline.

Purpose: Start or stop the interface.

Purpose: Read the log for useful information and troubleshooting.
Setup Rx30 Employee
Purpose: In the Rx30 Pharmacy System the employee must be setup to use the
Messaging Service Chat Rx.
1. A RPH Must Be SETUP in the System to use ChatRx before any employees
can use the service.
2. From a Fill Screen press F1 Menu
3. Navigate over to System
4. Select 2. Employees
5. F3 Select the employee from the list
6. Enter in a valid Email Address
7. Press F4 Save
8. Press F7 Detail
9. Press 05. Interface
10. Under Messaging Options Check Box Enabled
11. Press F4 Save

Setup Patient
Purpose: In the Rx30 Pharmacy System the patient must have a Cell or Phone
number saved to the Patient Record before the patient can be messaged.
1. From a Fill Screen press F1 Menu
2. Navigate over to Data
3. Select 01. Patient
4. Type in the patient's name and select from the list
5. Add the Cell Phone number
6. Press F4 Save
NOTE: If the cell phone number is typed into the Phone Number Field the system can use that
number.

Setup Doctor
Purpose: In the Rx30 Pharmacy System the doctor must have an Alt number saved to
the Doctor Record before the doctor can be messaged.
1. From a Fill Screen press F1 Menu
2. Navigate over to Data
3. Select 03. Doctor
4. Type in the doctor's name and select from the list
5. Add the Alt Phone number field
6. Press F4 Save

Fill Screen
Purpose: From a Fill screen the RPH or TECH can click on the person icon to enable
a chat with the patient.
1. From a Fill Screen
2. Select a Patient
3. To the right of the Patient name Click the GREEN Icon
4. The web browser opens up and signs into the Akario Backline website
automatically
5. The RPH or TECH enters the message to the patient.

Messaging Icon
Purpose: The Messaging Icon is a visual aid when a NEW message is posted to a chat
thread. The icon flashes between GREEN and RED message.
1. Click the Messaging Icon
2. The web browser opens up and signs into the Akario Backline website

3. Click on the Recent Tab to view the message(s)

Purpose: The RPH Rx Review Screen has the GREEN person icon next to the
Patient and Doctor name for convenience if either one would need to be contacted.

5. Select the Rx or Patient

Purpose: Click the ICON from the Rx30 Pharmacy System to start a chat with the
patient or doctor.

Cell Phone Text Message
Purpose: A secure encrypted URL Link is Texted to the Patient or Doctor to click
when a message from the RPh or Tech is sent.
1. On the Mobile Device open Text Messages
2. Open the new message
3. Click on the URL Link from Akario Backline
4. Verify by typing First and Last Name of Patient
5. Confirm and View Message 6. Hide Members
7. Type a Message 8. Press Return
CAUTION: Click on the URL Link! Do not respond to the text traditional.
NOTE: The entire conversation thread is saved.
FEATURES: Press the Paperclip icon to attach a picture, video, sound record, or document.

Purpose: The Akario Backline website allows the pharmacist to view multiple
groups, update settings, or lock the chat.

Purpose: Choose one contact, group or patient on the left to begin a conversation.
1. Under Group click on the phone number with a notification
2. Read Message
3. Respond back to message
NOTE: When the conversation is over the option to Leave Chat removes the number or name
from underneath Groups.

Purpose: Update information about the user.
Profile
Purpose: Profile settings for the user can be updated. A picture or logo can be added
to the profile.
