(51) & private (4,587) damaged due to

ethnic conflict

• Main infrastructure network also damaged(electricity, water supply, roads, railway & telecom)

• Debris and damaged structures remain

un-cleared• UC informed that Dutch period drainage

network in the town was also damaged – 

now it is not functional

-The present location of court complex is not suitable for

planning point of view as it locates in Central Business Area

(CBA) and located within railway line and A9 highway as well as

next to the bus terminal and commercial area.

-Identified site for redevelopment within the Central Business

landmark building

-Identified existing vacant land adjoining to the UC premises and

part of the existing court complex land to be utilized for thispurposes
