What type of Teradata Education is available? Teradata Customer Education designs, develops and delivers education that builds skills and capabilities, enabling customers to maximize their Teradata investment. We have a variety of delivery formats to suit your needs:

• Scheduled Classes – o Americas - Teradata offers public virtual instructor-led training virtually over the web

(VILT). o International - Teradata offers public instructor-led training at Teradata locations

• Customized Classes – Courses may be customized tailored to your specific needs. We will customize the class for you by combining selected topics from our standard offerings and they can be delivered at your location or a location you choose.

• Webcasts - These are 1-2 hour live online classes with a subject matter expert. They are recorded and made available as Recorded Webcasts.

• Self-paced Training (WBT) - These are online, self-paced training modules that can be taken at your convenience.

Teradata also provides access to the Teradata Certified Professional Program (TCPP) - An industry standard measure of technical competence for IT Professionals. TCPP consists of eight core certifications and provides a logical progression for specific jobs. How can I obtain a hard copy of the course catalog? It's Easy Being Green!

The Teradata Education Catalog is available online in PDF format. You can download the catalog to your PC, tablet or mobile device and have education program information, course descriptions, and schedules at your fingertips. You may download the current Teradata Customer Education Course Catalog (per region) by clicking here.

How do I change the password for my Teradata Education Network account? Self-service password reset is available however you must first have a security question/answer defined in your TEN profile. To change the password for your Teradata Education Network account:

1. Log in to the Teradata Education Network. 2. On the Links tile (bottom right), click Options and Settings. 3. At the top of the page (above Security Question), click on the word “Password”. 4. Populate the three fields and click Apply Changes.

How do I update my Account Security question? To update the security question and answer on your TEN profile:

1. Log in to the Teradata Education Network. 2. From the Links tile on your Home page, click Options and Settings. 3. Update your security question/answer.

Click the Apply Changes button directly below the Security Information section.

How do I retrieve my password if I have forgotten it? You cannot retrieve your old password. However you can setup a new password if you previously created a Security question/answer. From the Teradata Education Network Home Page

1. On the upper right hand tile, click on “Forgot Password?”. 2. Enter your User Name. 3. Click Submit. 4. Answer the security question. 5. Click Submit.

A temporary password will be sent to the email address on your account. Use this password to log on and then setup your new password (see instructions above). You may also email [email protected] to request a password reset.

How can I see my current enrollments? Log in to http://www.teradata.com/ten and find the “My Learning Assignments” tile on the home page. You will find your current enrollments here. At the top of the tile, click Filter to narrow your search.

What should I do if I can’t connect to the Teradata Education Network? If you are getting a "page cannot be displayed" message, and you can successfully access other sites on the Internet (example: Google.com or Yahoo.com) email [email protected] and include any details and screen captures.

What are the WebEx technical support phone numbers? The Teradata Education Network uses WebEx for our Live Webcasts and Virtual Instructor-led classes. On the day of the event, if you experience problems joining the WebEx session, call one of the following support numbers and tell them you are trying to connect to tdmeet.webex.com.

What should I do if I’m having issues receiving credit for a course which still shows in progress after completion? Be sure all pop-up blockers are turned off, including those on any toolbars, such as Google. Our site uses cookies to pass the completion information. If you complete a Self-paced class and the completion fails, check your advanced settings. After making the above change, close and restart your browser and then try the Test or Get Credit for Course option again.

If you have already completed a test and need credit, email TEN Support with the course title and number and the date you completed the course. We will verify and update the status for you.

What if my login/password does not work for the Lab Server 153.65.20.44? You can reset your Teradata lab password by opening the course and clicking the Labs button at the top. Then click on Click here to reset your Teradata password.

What if I can’t connect to the Lab Server 153.65.20.44?

• Ensure you have Teradata ODBC Driver and Teradata SQL Assistant or Teradata Studio/Express software installed.

• Did you obtain your user name and password (different than your Teradata Education Network credentials)? Request credentials by clicking on the lab tab and entering your email address.

• Check with your local IT department to ensure that Port 1025 (wbtlabserver.teradata.com) is open.

• Following the setup instructions based on the SQL program you are using (located under the Labs tab in the course).

What types of Teradata Education Network subscription are available? There are two levels of Teradata Education Network subscriptions available for Teradata Customers:

• Teradata Education Network - Webcasts: This is a paid annual subscription which provides access to over 24 live webcasts per year, previously recorded webcasts, and the Teradata Library.

• Teradata Education Network - Unlimited: This is a paid annual subscription which includes everything in the Teradata Education Network – Webcasts subscription plus access to all Teradata Self-paced courses.

Please note there are other content specific subscriptions available. Go to our Subscriptions Options for more information or email TEN Support for more details.

Are Instructor-led training courses included in any subscription? Instructor-led training is not included in the TEN-Unlimited or TEN-Webcasts subscriptions. Email TEN Support for additional information on an alternative Passport Subscription which includes both Self-paced and Instructor-led training.

How do I change assigned members in our subscription? Email TEN Support with complete details of the company name, current subscriber, new subscriber's information (name, phone, title, mailing address) and the reason(s) for the change.

What course should I take for my job role? Look up the recommended courses by job role at http://www.teradata.com/TEN/training-paths/

What courses should I take if we are upgrading the software for the Teradata Database? Go to Teradata Education Network and search for the Catalog Keyword Search on keyword Differences.

How do I get a new or a replacement course certificate? To print a certificate for a completed course,

• Log in to Teradata.com/TEN

• On the Links tile on your Home Page, click Learning History.

• Locate the course you want and hover over the title.

• A new window will open and click the option to Print your Certificate.

If your certificate contains an error, email details to one of the following: Americas: TEN.Support International: International.Teradata.Education

What is the Teradata Orange Book Confidentiality Agreement? Teradata Orange Books are one of the most valuable resources available to you as a subscriber. They provide in-depth technical explanations of popular Teradata topics and are often referenced in our webcasts. The information in Teradata Orange Books is proprietary and confidential to Teradata. This information may only be used in accordance with the terms of a written agreement with Teradata. Orange books are not to be shared with non-subscribers. Before accessing Teradata Orange books from our Library, you must first accept the Confidentiality Agreement to Access Teradata Orange Books. If you haven't done so already, this important document will still display in the My Learning Assignments tile of your TEN home page. To determine if you already have access to Orange Books, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to the Teradata Education Network. 2. In the Find Learning tile, type Orange in the “What do you want to learn today” box and click

GO. 3. If you have access to Teradata Orange books, the titles will display.

If you do not have access to the Teradata Orange Books and need to accept the confidentiality agreement:

1. Go to the My Learning Assignments tile on your Home page. 2. Scroll down until you find the Confidentiality Agreement to Access Teradata Orange Books.

3. Click Start Course. 4. Read the disclaimer. 5. Click Agree. 6. Click X to close the window.

Note: It may take up to two hours to update your profile with the new access rights.

How do I search for a course? Log in to the Teradata Education Network, and select one of the following search options:

• To search for a course that is already in your Learning Assignments: o From the My Learning Assignments tile, either scroll to find the course (they're listed

alphabetically) or click Filter and use the Keyword Search option.

• To search for a course on the Find Learning tile: o Enter your keyword and click Go.

• Alternately, you may click on “Browse all Courses” where you can search by Subject Area. If you're interested in a Calendar view of scheduled offerings, click the Calendar of Offerings tab at the top of the catalog page. You can view the Calendar by Monthly or Weekly format. If you’re looking for what’s new on the site, see the News pop up when you first log in, or from the home page, see the Featured Courses section of the Find Learning tile. Note: if you do not see Featured Courses, click the expand arrow at the bottom of the tile.

How do I enroll in a course online?

Instructions for enrollment are dependent upon subscription level. Determine your subscription level and then select one of the following to help guide you through the enrollment process. TEN - Basic (a la carte) TEN - Webcasts TEN – Unlimited

How do I know if I’m confirmed for a class? After enrolling, you will receive a confirmation email from 'Teradata, University' (subject line Teradata Enrollment Confirmation). Note: If the course is not included in a subscription, the email will indicate that you are "conditionally enrolled". This means you are not fully enrolled until payment information has been received. Once your payment information is received, you will be sent a second email with confirmation of enrollment and information about the class.

Log in to the Teradata Education Network. You should see the course listed in the My Learning Assignments tile.

• For WBTs or Recorded Webcasts, you should see the option to start the course.

• For Live Webcasts or an Instructor-led class, you should see the status as 'Enrolled'. If you feel you have taken the necessary steps to enroll in a class but have not received a confirmation email or the course doesn't appear in your Learning Plan as 'Enrolled', please email [email protected].

What is meant by an enrollment status of Pending? For Instructor-led or Self-paced training which is not part of a subscription, the enrollment status of Pending indicates you are tentatively enrolled. You should have received an email requesting your payment information. Upon receipt and processing, your enrollment status will change from Pending to Enrolled. If you did not receive the email requesting your payment information, please email [email protected].

How do I pay for a course? There are two ways to pay for a course:

• Purchase order – Provide a copy of the purchase order to [email protected].

• Invoice – After enrolling, you will receive an email requesting your payment information. If you did not receive this email, please email [email protected].

NOTE: The Teradata Education Network doesn’t accept credit card payments online or through our

Training Support Center. To pay by credit card, request an invoice, which will list a phone number

where you can call to provide your credit card information.

Where can I see courses that I have already completed or re-launch a completed self-paced course? Upon completion of a course, it moves from your Learning Assignments to your Learning History:

• Log in to Teradata.com/TEN

• On the Links tile, click Learning History to display the list of completed courses.

• To re-launch a self-paced course which you have already completed, click the title of the course. A new window will display and click “Review Content”.

What if I have questions about scheduling an on-site class at my company? Contact your Customer Education Sales Consultant for your country or region -http://www.teradata.com/TEN/contactus/.

How do I register for Instructor-led Training course without logging-in? You must have a login to Teradata.com/TEN to enroll in Instructor-led training.

If you need to obtain a TEN login, you will need to submit a request. Click here and scroll to the bottom of the page to complete the online form.

What is Teradata’s course cancellation policy? For public classes click your appropriate location to review Teradata’s refund, cancellation, and no-show policy.

For on-site classes, contact your Customer Education Sales Consultant.

What type of equipment is needed for hands-on lab exercises? Each student will need a PC with Internet connectivity to Teradata’s remote training server.

Will I receive a course completion certificate following an Instructor-led class? Unless informed otherwise, all students will receive a course completion certificate following the class.

How do I connect to a Teradata Education Network Live Webcast? The Teradata Education Network uses WebEx for our Live Webcasts. You will receive an email on the day prior to the Live Webcast containing a URL to connect to WebEx. After clicking on the URL, you will be taken to a web page where you can join the meeting after you answer the required questions. Be Aware! The first time you join a WebEx meeting, the WebEx Meeting Center application will be automatically installed on your device. If you have a MAC, you will be prompted to download and install a WebEx add-on. You will need administrator permissions to install the add-on. This typically takes just a few minutes depending upon your internet speed. This installation only takes place once. Click here to test a WebEx meeting on your device prior to the call.

What should I do if I’m having problems accessing a Live Webcast? Note: The presenter will be unable to answer questions regarding connectivity or technical issues. You must be registered to attend a Live Webcast. If you have received your Login Information email and are still having issues, click here to perform a WebEx test. If you have registration issues, email the Education Support Center or call 1-800-845-2273

Can I access the PowerPoint slides for a live webcast prior to the live event?

The PowerPoint slides for the live webcast will be emailed to all enrolled attendees on the day prior to the live event.

What is the course cancellation policy for Live Webcast? Attendees who have a Teradata Education Network Subscription may cancel at any time. Repeated no shows / no cancellation may result in restricted access to Live Webcasts

For attendees who have individually purchased the Live Webcasts:

• To avoid penalty, cancellation is required 5 business days prior to the start of the live event.

• Substitution is allowed from within the same company. You must notify TEN.Support to provide the substitute information.
