Client was unsure of way forward in developing a new product range and wasn’t sure whether to commit to a large capital investment. Helped from initial stage to the full development cycle. I reviewed the overall design and manufacturing strategy, recommending quicker ways to market and greatly enhanced the product. Developed business plan and implemented marketing and sales strategies.

Main challenges: Launching brand new innovation and developing short & long term strategies; making the business more resilient and creating the right message to market.

Overcoming the challenges: By reviewing the prototype I made changes to the development cycle and product re-design to ensure it was manufactured with tighter timescales and reduced costs. Changing manufacturer from China to UK manufacturer.

What value was your role to them: Project management which resulted in transforming the business model and reducing design costs. Streamlined manufacturing process, implemented market research and identified target market. Providing support, advice and guidance. Implemented website to be much more sales driven increasing user returns to the website. Reviewed and amended business plan/sales presentations and trained client on presentation skills. Advised alternative strategies on product development. Creation of branding, producing sales materials, adverts, copy writing, social media campaign, trademarks, and helped create USPs to add to the product. Developed a strong launch team.
