Phospholipases

Phospholipase A1-can hydrolyze the sn-1 acyl bond but can alsohydrolyse the sn-2 acyl bond. In the former case, this liberates a fatty acid and 2-acyl-glycerophospholipid.

Phospholipases

Phospholipase A 2-hydrolyzes the sn-2 acyl bond. This liberates a fatty acid and a lysophospholipid (1-acyl-glycerophospholipid)

Phospholipases

Phospholipase C-hydrolyzes one phosphoester bond to generate diacyglycerol (DAG) and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3).

Phospholipases

Phospholipase D-will hydrolyse the other phosphoester bond to generate phosphatidic acid (amphiphilic product) and inositol 4,5 diphosphate (IP2).
