HONEYWELL SAFETY PRODUCTS OFFERS CONSIDERABLE EXPERTISE IN ANALYZING YOUR RISKS AND RESPONDING TO YOUR NEEDS

The ChemPro database offers a unique service, over 350,000 chemicals, including mixed substances, have been tested for permeation and breakthrough times on a variety of fabrics and materials.

The ChemPro database offers information on testing which is above the Standard, for instance:

• Permacel process for a wearing time of more than 480 minutes for selected chemicals. However at KCL we test gloves in permanent use for up to 90 days, which allows for more reliable data to be gathered.

• Measures of permeation times, includes those that are under the Standard, i.e. level 1 (10 mins).

Three distinct pictograms indicate two levels of requirements.

Standard EN 374-2 characterises impermeable properties without involving resistance. This includes gloves in all risk categories. The current standard specifi es a method for testing the protective gloves' resistance to penetration of chemical products and/or micro-organisms.

Standard EN 374-3 requires impermeable properties in accordance with EN 374-2 and resistance performance at level 2 at a minimum concerning permeation for at least three products on the list of twelve defi ned in standard EN 374-1.

OUR SERVICES

We offer:• Individual glove recommendations for

your Material Safety Data Sheets• Risk-assessments of workplaces

(risk-hazard analysis) • Up-to-date information of our chemical

database including more than 200,000 substances

We assist you in:• Finding the right glove of products

which conform to REACH• Training your employees regarding

REACH • Implementing the REACH regulation

REACH

REACH is the new EU chemical regulation, which deals with the registration, evaluation, assessment and authorization of chemicals. With products manufactured by KCL you have the guarantee of REACH conformity.

KCL also helps you to implement the REACH demands, so that your legal obligations, such as risk-assessments or the recommendation of suitable PPE are fulfi lled.

Penetration:

All chemical protective gloves are tested for level 3 = AQL 0,65.This is a 100 %-control.

Articles 738 and 739 are the winter versions of articles 736 and 737. Therefore, 738 and 739 offer identical permeation times and swelling properties.

Due to the material composition there is no degradation of article 761, therefore this glove was not included in the column degradation.

Degradation resistance:

Important notice:The information in the recommendation list was tested under laboratory conditions(new gloves, no additional mechanical exertion, room temperature) with utmost care and with modern measuring methods. This data only serves as an orientation when selecting the appropriate chemical protective glove, as the conditions in real usually vary to the those in the laboratory. They especially do not replace the aptitude test of the glove user.
