. . . Body of knowledge and area of expertise developed by Chemistry Education Program, FST, UIN Sunan Kalijaga covers chemistry, methodic-pedagogic (educational science), integration of Islamic-Science, and others fields related with chemistry education. These fields are related to Master and Doctoral of chemistry education and chemstry. Thus, these are adequate for students to continue their higher level study, master or professional teacher education. Not only in chemistry and education, the expertise is also related to other science fields ( physics and biology), mathematics, and the appropriate appliance (learning media and ICT).

Expected Learning Outcomes

1. Able to show the characteristics of good people (Insan Kamil) 2. Able to do the task independently and responsibly 3. Able to adapt and work in team 4. Able to demonstrate problem-solving skills 5. Able to communicate in Indonesian, English, and Arabic 6. Able to apply Islamic values-based chemical education to manage

chemistry education in Madrasah Aliyah/high school/equivalent 7. Able to apply information technology in chemistry education 8. Able to implement inclusive learning skills for chemical class 9. Able to apply the FAST (Fathonah, Amanah, Shidiq, Tabligh) concept

The design of the Outcomes-Based Curriculum implemented in the CESP corresponds to the National Standards and aligns with the 11 ELOs. This can be seen from the courses distribution per semester, which considers the ELOs for each course.

The formulated curriculum structure is reviewed periodically, especially in regards to course content that can reflect the ELOs. The curriculum review also focuses on the reorganization of courses that fit the logical distribution of ELOs per year. For example, the Personality

st ndDevelopment in Chemical Educators course is offered in the 1 and 2 semesters. On the other hand, the Methodology in Chemistry Education Research course, which was previously offered in Semester 6, has been moved to Semester 5.

Islamic Education Integration-Interconnection

Philosophical Foundation of the CESP Learning Process

The integration–interconnection approach is the soul of the CESP teaching and learning process. Hence, its perspective in teaching and learning relies heavily on the Qur'an as the core to its subjects (Islamic studies, education, teaching, and chemistry). The interconnectedness of the aforementioned subjects is thus highly desirable. This approach can be seen in the teaching and learning model used by lecturers in teaching, whether in theory or in practice (see the RPS). The Faculty's integration–interconnection approach is not an empty slogan, but rather a value embraced by all faculty members, including teaching staff, educational staff, students, stakeholders, and communities.

This educational philosophy is communicated to internal and external stakeholders through the CESP's website, BPAF, BPAF supplements, brochures, and all CESP activities, including (but not limited to) ELO review, curriculum review and socialization, meetings with parents and guardians, community service, public lecturers, inter-institutional collaboration, and studium generale). All external stakeholders have expressed their satisfaction with the CESP's educational philosophy and integration–interconnection approach. This is because graduates of the CESP show distinctive characters if compared to graduates of other universities
