Day 1: Tue, Apr 03 – HONOLULU. Depart Honolulu via Korean Airlines flt #2 at 11:10 am.

Day 2: Wed, Apr 04 – NARITA – TOKYO. Arrive Narita at 3:20 pm. After entry formalities, transfer by coach to the hotel in Tokyo. KEIO PLAZA HOTEL (1 Night) (D)

Day 3: Thur, Apr 05 – TOKYO – NIIGATA – SADO ISLAND. After a sumptuous breakfast buffet at hotel, transfer to Tokyo station by coach. Take the JR super express train to Niigata. Sightseeing in Niigata by coach, visiting a Sake Brewery, Niigata Furusato Village, and Northern Culture Museum. Transfer to Niigata Port. Take a Jet Foil to Sado Island. Arrive in Sado Island and transfer to hotel. Enjoy a traditional multi-course Kaiseki Dinner, featuring ingredients unique to Sado Island. Day 4: Fri, Apr 06 – SADO ISLAND. Full day sightseeing of Sado Island by coach. Start the day with a visit to the Sado Gold Mine. Enjoy making your own soba lunch. Take a Tarai Bune Boat ride before visiting the Sado Japanese Crested Ibis Conservation Centre. Group Dinner at hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 5: Sat, Apr 07 – SADO ISLAND – NAGANO. Transfer to Ogi Port. Take the ferry to Naoetsu Port. Transfer to hotel in Nagano by coach. RYOKAN BIYUNOYADO (1 Night) (B, D)

Day 6: Sun, Apr 08 – NAGANO – MATSUMOTO – NAGOYA. Full-day sightseeing in Nagano and Matsumoto by coach, visiting Jigokudani Monkey Park and Zenko-ji Temple. Transfer to hotel in Nagoya. Day 8: Tue, Apr 10 – NAGOYA – SHIZUOKA – HAKONE. Transfer to Hakone by coach, via Shizuoka, visiting the famous “Unagi-Pie” Factory and experience fruit picking at Hamamatsu Fruit Park. This evening, soak your body in the healing hot springs of Hakone. HAKONE LAKE ASHINOKO HANAORI (1 Night) (B, D)

Day 9: Wed, Apr 11 – HAKONE – Mt. FUJI – TOKYO. Full day sightseeing in Hakone by coach, starting with view the surrounding countryside from the Komagatake Ropeway. Next try your hand at “Hakone Yosegi-Zaiku,” inlaid and mosaic woodwork unique to this area. Visit the Mt. Fuji Visitor Centre before ascend to the 5th station of Mt. Fuji, at an elevation of 7,500 feet above sea level. Transfer to the hotel in Tokyo. KEIO PLAZA HOTEL (2 Nights) (B, L)

Day 10: Thur, Apr 12 – TOKYO. Full day at leisure. (B)

Day 11: Fri, Apr 13 – TOKYO – HONOLULU. After a sumptuous buffet breakfast embark on a full day of discovery! Start the day with a stop at the Imperial Palace Plaza. Today’s highlight will be a hands-on, sushi-making session, which will yield your delicious lunch. After lunch, visit Ameyoko a busy market street along the Yamanote Line tracks between Okachimachi and Ueno Stations. The name “Ameyoko” is a short form for “Ameya Yokocho” (candy store alley), as candies were traditionally sold there. Alternatively, “Ame” also stands for “America”, because many American products were available there when the street was the site of a black market in the years following WWII. Today, various products such as clothes, bags, cosmetics, fresh fish, dried food and spices are sold along Ameyoko. Next visit Asakusa, the center of Tokyo’s shitamachi (literally “lower city”), one of Tokyo’s districts, where an atmosphere of the Tokyo of past decades survives. Enjoy your Farewell Dinner at an Izakaya restaurant; sharing your many memories with some old and many new friends. Depart Narita via Korean Airlines flt #1 at 9:20 pm and arrive Honolulu at 9:30 am the same day. Aloha and Welcome Home! (B, L, D)
