Chhattigarh being a naxal infested state, therefore it is probably hard to promote yourself as a destination when your name mainly appears in the news alongside the words Maoist hotbed or Naxal infested, as the rebels who operate in several states in central and eastern India.

Still the state with the gift of natural beauty is trying its level hard to own a name with Chhattisgarh Tourism. Chhattisgarh has been the focus state at the trade fair which is taking place at New Delhis government convention center.

The whole country is starting to know it is an up-and-coming state. Being a state fulfilled with surplus power., it exports power to other states.

Chhattisgarh Tourism is the ever growing feature of the state. It is an attractive place to visit, with much natural beauty, such as the Chitrakote waterfalls, and many forests. Chhattisgarh has also coined a slogan to promote itself: the decidedly sober Credible Chhattisgarh.

The state also features herbal and other goods made from minor forest produce, silks and metal sculptures from the states Bastar tribal region. There are number of waterfalls, which adds to its beauty.

Agriculture is the main occupation as the entire Chhattisgarh is well irrigated by various rivers like Mahanadi, Shivnath, Hasdeo, Arpa, Indravati, Rihandetc making Chhattisgarh as the Rice Bowl of India.

Chhattisgarh Tourism also offers the tourists the best hill station of the state called the Tibetan Population at Mainpat, also known as the Shimla of Chhattisgarh, which offers some of the enchanting views of nature and is home to only Buddha Temple of Chhattisgarh.

Sirpur, a perfect mlange of the Art, Heritage and History, was the capital city of the ancient DakshinKaushala.
